Born February 10, 1915 in Birchwood, WI. she grew up in Little Falls, MN. After marriage to David Edward Babcock, she moved many times during and following the War years. In 1951, she and her family settled in Minneapolis, where Mr. Babcock joined the Dayton Company, President in Charge of Personnel.

She was active in the volunteer organizations at St. Barnabus Hospital in Minneapolis, and was a member of Wayzata Country Club, The Lafayette Country Club, and the Wayzata Community Church. In 1967, they moved to St. Louis, Missouri, when her husband joined the May Department Stores Corporation, becoming Chairman of the Board in 1975. She was a past member of Bellreive Country Club, The Old Warson Club, The St.

Louis Club, The Daughters of the American Revolution and the Volunteer Service Council of St. Louis. She was an avid golfer, a loyal friend, a loving mother and wife, and devoted her life to her home. family and pets. Her quick wit, youthful outlook, strength and courage will be greatly missed by many friends and a loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay Ellis Viner Mary Edith Nielsen Viner, as well as 2 brothers, Ellis Viner of Duluth, MN. Edward Viner, of Minneapolis. One brother, Alva Viner wife Kyra, of Minneapolis survives her. Also surviving are her husband. David of St.
