She graduated from Superior Normal School and taught school in Gonvik, MN, Superior and Douglas County. She owned and operated "Tapawingo" in Douglas County for many years before returning to the University of Wisconsin, Superior, and receiving her master's degree. He was extremely moved by the plight of the poor in Mexico and organized several trips into Mexico with food and gifts for the poor children there. He ran for city councilman of Albuquerque. He was a renowned drummer in several bands throughout the Southwest, achieving many awards. He played benefits whenever there was a need and produced several cassettes and compact discs. as he was known to his friends, will be sadly missed by family, friends and the music community.

Funeral services will be held at the Round Lake Presbyterian Church in McGregor, on Saturday, October 16, 1999 at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Round Lake Cemetery.
