She was a retired employee of Reeves Brothers, a member of Nazareth Presbyterian Church, a Sunday School teacher of Amelia Means Class, past church historian, Cemetery Commission Trustee, past President of District 5 P.T.A. Council, recipient of life membership in P.T.A., active in Scouting and holder of the Scouter's Award. Mrs.

Carlisle was a past officer in Enoree Presbytery, in the Synodical of South Carolina and served on the staff of Synodical Training School at Presbyterian College for several years. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Malinda Carlisle of Prosperity; one sister, Vilda Swann Snoddy, of Wellford; one grandson and wife, Todd and Kim Carlisle; one granddaughter and husband, Lynley and Marshall Murph; granddaughter, Kacie Carlisle; and four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Brittany, Jake and Josh. 22, 2001, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A. native of Six Mile, he was the son of Gertude Skelton Henderson of Easley, and the late Samuel Issac Henderson, and was married to Frances Bishop Henderson who died with him. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and taught two Sunday School Classes. He helped charter Greer State Bank where he served as a member of the Board of Directors, and was a member of Christian Business Men's Club.

Mr. Henderson was a retired Assistant Professor at Limestone College, the former President of Alexanders, a former Controller of J.P. Stevens and a U.S. Army veteran-peacetime. Surviving in addition to his mother are a son, the Rev.

Robert "Bobby" H. Henderson of Duncan; two daughters, Karen H. Swofford of Cowpens, and Gayle H. Hannon Greer; two sisters, Carol Walsh of Easley, and Joyce Gillespie of Six Mile; and five grandchildren, Sarah and Krista Cowpens, Jena and Kaycee Hannon of Greer, and Brady Henderson of Duncan. Mr.

MAdams 85, of 7409 White Horse Road, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2001. Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late George W. McAdams Sr. and Lantie Alexander McAdams.

A U.S. Air Force (retired) veteran of World War II, he was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Mr. McAdams is survived by sisters, Lantie Troglen of Greenville, Mary Lee Holcombe of Marietta, and Jane Alexander of Greenville; and a brother, Boyce McAdams, of Easley. He was predeceased by a sister, Rachel Burdine.

Alister E. Smith Ware Shoals Alister E. Smith 75, husband of Edna O'Dell Smith, of 10340 Indian Mound Road, died Sunday at Laurens County Hospital. He was born in Laurens County, a son of the late Rev. Alister E.

and Iris Cooper Smith Sr. He was retired supervisor, Kings Point Mills, Spartanburg, and was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and Brewton Masonic Lodge. Surviving besides his wife are one sister, Mary Louise Morgan, of Central; one granddaughter, Kelley S. Calvert; and one greatgrandson, Will A. Calvert, of Ware Shoals.

Ruth Grant Garren, 79, widow of W.F. Amos Garren, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2001. Born in Walhalla, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Estelle Sisk Grant. She was a former employee of Greenville Hospital System, Franklin Processing and was a Baptist.

Surviving are daughters, Diane Grice Nalley of Pickens, and Cathy Lynn Davis of Lexington; a son, Paul "Sonny" Garren, of Greenville; a sister, Nell Guest, of Seneca; grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Steven Garren. A native of Greenville, she was the daughter of Ruth Cox Bishop of Easley, and the late Jonas Bishop, and was married to Robert H. Henderson, who died with her. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, where she helped with the children, and was a homemaker and substitute teacher for Greenville County Schools. Mrs. Henderson was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and grandmother.

Surviving in addition to her mother are two daughters, Karen Swofford of Cowpens, and Gayle H. Hannon of Greer; one son, the Rev. Robert H. "Bobby" Henderson of Duncan; one brother, Bruce Bishop, of Macon, and five grandchildren, Sarah" and Krista Swofford of Cowpens, Jena and Kaycee Hannon of Greer, and Brady Henderson of Duncan. Mrs.

Streetman, Simpsonville Jo Ann Beagle Streetman, 68, of 107 Holly Park Road, Simpsonville, died Sept. 24, 2001, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was born in Franklinton, the daughter of the late Willard Calhoun and Janella Varnado Beagle, and wife of the 1 late Herman Roderick Streetman. She was a banking officer, and Certified Consumer Credit Executive with Baton Rouge area banks. She was Past President of Credit Women International, President of Huggins Tae Kwon Do Parents Association and a member of Fountain Inn First Baptist Church.

She was survived by one daughter, Blaiz and her husband George Buchanan, of Simpsonville; one son, Roderick and his wife Jill, Streetman of Raleigh, N.C.; one sister, Rita Sue and her husband Gary Malehorn, of Baton' Rouge, two goddaughters, Sarah Van Winkle of Orlando, and Catherine Lewis of Jacksonville, and four grandchildren, Dustin Roderick Todaro, Mitchell John Gabriel Buchanan, Blake Conrad Buchanan and Connor Adams Buchanan. Visitation: Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, 2 to 3 p.m. at Fountain Inn First Baptist Church, prior to the service. Service: Wednesday, Sept.
