VV^o/ers Back V////T Hughes NEWPORT BEACH--warren P. Waters has been appointed to the new position of manager of Hughes Aircraft Co.'s solid state research center. Waters returns to Hughes after four, years at Texas Instruments, Inc., where he was manager of the semiconductor research and development laboratory's advanced device development branch. The one and two-story homes are priced from $28,900. Over $1 million in .sales has been reported nt Influential Homes, Executive Series, a subdivision of 288 homes in the City of Orange, being buiit by Butler-Harbour Construction Co. This rapid sales pace has been on the increase since the project's opening three weeks ago. Located at Dowling Street south of the Riverside Freeway, the completely walled community offers a choice of one and two-story homes with three, four and five bed rooms. P r i c e s range from $28,900 to $34,200 and underground utilities and refrigerated air conditioning are included in the price. Butler- H a r b o u r has built homes valuing more than $15,000,000 in the City of Orange in the past five years in addition to the Executive Series sub-division, which will represenl another $10,000,000 of residential growth in this area. * * * * ONE OF THE major factors in Butler-Harbour's success is attributed to the advantages offered by the location of its homes. The one and two-story homes are next to Long Beach's El Dorado Park and near golf courses, marinas, churches of nil denominations, schools, entertainment and shopping facilities. Visitors are invited to drive east on Spring Street from Long Beach to 7896 Cramer St., between Studebaker Road and Los Alamitos Boulevard to see the model homes. * * * COLLEGE PARK HOMES in Seal Beach are selling In the Just released second unit of 104 homes, though the first unit has not begun construction. Buyers are selecting the homes o( their choice from the new, just furnished models, and placing them on the lots they choose. College Park homes sell under the new VA law, allowing ex-servicemen who have been discharged since Jan. 31, 1955, to purchase homes with no down payment.
