Joseph Medical Center, Brainerd. Marjorie was born on Sept. 11. 1922 In Mpls, the daughter of the late Curtis (Hall) ft Esther (Annette Ferris) Pomeroy. She attended Marshall High School in SE Mpls, where she graduated as valedictorian.

Marjorie attended the ol M. where she was a member ol A O. Pi Sorority and graduated as a medical technician. Marione worked for many years at Swedish Hos pital, and then at Veteran's Hospital until her retirement in 1987. She was a member ol the MN Valley Audubon Society.

She was a longtime member of the Koninia rei lowship Group at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, where she was a member tor many years. She enjoyed her cabin on Lake Margaret in the Brainerd area, where she loved the birds and deer that came to visit her. The call ol the loons and the quiet quacking ol ducks were a summer symphony that brought light to her spirit, which she so generously shared with others. Marjorie is survived by two-brothers, Rev. Robert (Pat) Pomeroy of Lake Shore, MN and Bruce (Liz) Pomeroy ot Bloomington, and much loved nieces ft nephews ano their children.

She attended schools in Minneapolis graduating Irom Roosevelt High School in 1943 and attending the Univ of Minn She was a WWII veteran serving in the A C. where she was assigned to the Manhattan Proiect. She continued in the service after the war as a cryptographer for Military Intelligence.

On Feb 5. 1951 she married Francis Wayne Cox in Stuttgart, Germany. After marriage she was a homemaker in many overseas assignments where her husband's work took her and her family. In 1970 he retired to Winfield. She is survived by; husband.

he began his teaching career at St. John's University in Collegeville MN. In 1968. he went to Indiana University Bloomington. completing an MFA degree in 1971 He then returned to Collegeville to teach in the combined art departments ot St.

John and the College of St Benedict. In 1975. he and his family moved to Minne apolis, where he began teaching at North Hennepin He was diagnosed with brain cancer on his birthday, April 8, 1997. Alter a heroic battle with this vicious disease, he died at dawn, August 13 at Methodist Hospital. St Louis Park, MN.
