Mayor Henry Johnson, reported to council Thursday that he and police Sgt.

Hubert Morris have put into effect an emergency 7 p.m. curfew for youngsters under 18 years of age. Johnson told council the reason for the earlier curfew was due to acts of vandalism and harrassment to residents by borough youngsters. The borough's sewer rate has been increased to $40.17 per unit by the Delaware County Regional Authority (DELCORA). The new rate reflects an increase of $11.92 per unit.

According to borough secretary William Nealy council will probably decide how to deal with the increase at its February meeting.
