Averaging six feet one inch in height, with the tallest six feet three inches, the crew members stand nearly a foot taller than the sturdy little Japanese oarsmen who are also practising for the classic race.

James H. Brown, age 82, diei Monday evening at 7:45 o'clock a' his home, 915 Maple avenue, follow ing a five-weeks illneee, resulting from a stroke. Mr. Brown was born in Kentucky but came to Hamilton 30 years ago He was formerly employed afi a ma chinist at the- Niles Tools Work company, now the General Machin ery Corporation. Since coming Hamilton, he was a member of Hig' Street Church of Christ.

In December, 1876, Mr. Brown was united in marriage with Amcr ica Hncker. To this union wer born 12 children three of whom William, Theodore and Mrs. Kather ine Brown Kure, preceded the: father in death. Surviving, with th widow, are Morriett, Frank ai Robert Brown of Hamilton, Wood son, James H.

aud Carl of Moos Jaw, Canada, Mrs. B. M. Coy! and Mrs. Harry Denzler of Hamr ton and Mrs.

Lee Freiberg of Lo Angeles. Mrs. Freiberg has been i Hamilton for the past five weeks Twelve grandchildren and 16 grea grandchildren, also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Brow- will be held at the home of hi daughter, Mrs.
