AFFAIRS OF YOUNG FOLK A section devoted to the news of boys and girls of Central South Dakota Hazel Christoffersen Editor Brookings Girl Winsji-H Prizes Seraldine Fenn Lauds Club YVork And Is Active In Different Projects One of South Dakota's outstanding cmb members is Miss Geraldine G. Fenn of Brookings county. She has written an account of her club experiences for the Dakota Farmer," February 15 issue, which stresses some of her accomplishments. "In 1326 the clothing club to which I lelong was organized by Miss Doolittlc, savs the home demonstration agent," Miss Fenn in the magazine story. though the number and some of members have shifted, the club functions and is now starting the fourth year clothing project.

In fact, it has entered ev- try club activity avaiable in Brookings county and as many outside of it as possible. The Jolly Workers possess a Charter and on it are three gold seals representing the satisfactory completion of three year's work in clothing. "Stunts have always been favorable emong 4-H people and some of those in tion work, the Jolly Workers have sent a demonstration team to the State Fair all three years. This team was composed of Agnes Ellis and myself, and the team has placed third at the State Fair for the past two years. The demonstrations have been, 'Darning 'Color in and 'Remodeling Felt "A has also been in training, the most active member of it being Marcella Bcneke.

We feel that demonstrations are one of the best phases of the club work and they should be stressed as much as possible. "It has been this club that 1 have- been able to so thoroughly enjoy 4-H club work. The Jolly Workers have made possible my winning three trips to the State Fair on demonstration teams. At the fair I have won 11 prizes in 13 exhibits including 2 firsts, 2 seconds, 1 third. 3 fourths, and 1 eighth.

Last year I also entered the Style Review. However, the climax of it all came this year I was awarded a trip to Chicago as State Home Economics Champion and placed second in the Sir Lipton 'Trophy contest. club which our club has entered at camps and junior, short course are: "The Kitchen Orchestra," "The Volga Boatman." Fat and Mrs. Thin," "Wanted, a Wife," and harmonica solos.
