27, 1987. He was plant manager for Ham-rick Yarns, a veteran of World War II and a member of Drayton-ville Baptist Church. Wade Nelson Jr. LAURENS Wade Floyd Nelson 45, of Route 4 died Oct. 26, 1987, at his home. He was an employee of Watts Mill and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Lois Trammell Nelson of the home; his mother, Wilma Peace Nelson of Ware Shoals; four sons, Ricky Dean Nelson and Kenneth Wayne Nelson, both of Woodruff, Rocky Nelson of the home and Terry Nelson of Greenville; two daughters, Debra N. He was a junior at Crescent High School and a member of the basketball team and golf team. He was a member of the South Carolina Coon Hunters Association.

He attended Concord Baptist Church where he was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He also played on the church's golf and softball teams. D.B. O'Shields Jr. EASLEY Dewey Benjamin "D.B." O'Shields 55, of Route 2, O'Shields Road, died Oct. 25, 1987, after a brief illness. He was a retired maintenance engineer and a Baptist.

Pearl Riddle GLENDALE Pearl Crossley Riddle, 98, of 29 Jackson died Oct. 26, 1987, at Mountain View Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and the oldest member of Glendale Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Wilson Riddle of Glendale and J.C Quinn of Stone Mountain, a sister, Eva Quinn of Portland, two brothers, Lindsey Crossley of Glendale and Eugene Crossley of Cowpens; and a granddaughter, Vaudie Nichols of the home. 23, 1987. She was a supply technician for pital for Crippled Children, North Pleasantburg Drive, Greenville. B.J. Johnson Broadus James Johnson, 58, of Green Meadow Trailer Park died of natural causes Oct. 23, 1987.

He was an employee of Yellow Cab Company and a Baptist. Surviving are two daughters, Pat Pitman of Travelers Rest and Ann Staggs of Greer; a son, Jim Johnson of Travelers Rest; a stepdaughter, Cheryl Bell of Greenville and a half sister, Faye Stin-son of Alabama. Marvin M. Lay ANDERSON Marvin M. Lay, 55, of 511 Whitehall Road, died of natural causes Oct. 27, 1987, at Anderson Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Pope Drive Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Ola S. Lay of the home; and two daughters, Mrs. Ron (Frankie) Spivey and Mrs. Bruce (Marian) Gerrard, both of Anderson. Services: 3 p.m.

Lindsay James Rufus Lindsay, 53, of Doe died Oct. 25, 1987, from injuries sustained in a house fire. He was a member of Vaughnville Baptist Church and a veteran of the Korean conflict. Surviving are his wife, Lorenza Lindsay of Greenville; a daughter, Pamela Lindsay of Greenville; three sons, Percival Lindsay, Rufus Lindsay Jr. and Jerome Lindsay, all of Greenville; his mother, Mamie Pitts of Greenville; and his stepfather, Johnny Hare of Greenville.

Church. Deborah Jean Love CONCORD, N.C. Deborah Jean Love, 33, died Oct. 25, 1987. Surviving are her father, Richard Love of Greenville, S.C; her mother, Mary Honeycutt Greene of Oakboro; two sons, Paul Russ of Concord and Randy Kirk of Mrs.

Walter G. Brown Helen LeWanda Brown, 77, of Rcllingreen Village died of natural causes Oct. 25, 1987. She retired from Southern Bell after 40 years of service. She was a life member and former treasurer of the Telephone Pioneers of America in Atlanta, and an Episcopalian.

Surviving are two stepsons, Walter G. Brown Jr. of Charlotte, N.C., and Robert LeWanda Brown of Simpson ville. Memorial services: 4 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Episcopal Church Chapel.

Nora H. Burgess NORRIS Nora Kathryn Herd Burgess, 88, of Route 2, Central, died of natural causes Oct. 27, 1987, at the Baptist Medical Center in I.asley. She was a member of Norris First Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Edna Allsep of Waverly, and Iona Littleton of Norris; two sons, Clyde Burgess of Norris and Roy Burgess of Cateechee; six sisters, Leila Trotter, Josie Sloan, Jessie Mullinax and Bessie Barber, all of Greer, Carrie Wilson of Easley and Maggie Simmons of Pickens; and two brothers, Frank Herd and Ross Herd, both of Greer.

Annie M. Coker Annie M. Coker, 94, of 8 N. Texas Ave. died Oct.

26, 1987. She was a member of Judson Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Eunice C. Thompson and Mrs. Archie (Mae) Barker, both of Greenville.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Jones Mortuary Chapel with burial in Fork Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday. The family will be at the home of Ruth Mason, Mimosa Drive, Mauldin.

Memorials may be made to Judson Baptist Church. Paul J. Cunningham Paul James Cunningham, 81, of 2 Carl Court died Oct. 26, 1987, following four years of declining health and 18 months of serious illness. He was a retired auto mechanic and also retired from Dunean Mill.

He was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army during World War II and a Baptist. Surviving are his wife, Doris Cooper Cunningham; a sister, Mrs. Charles (Lucille) Waldrop of Greenville; and two brothers, Harry Lee Cunningham of Columbia and Cunningham of Travelers Rest. -Services: 2 p.m.

26, 1987. Surviving are her husband. Dr. Frank Dowell of the home; her mother, Mrs. Craig Moore of Seneca, S.C; two sons, Craig Dowell and Mark Dowell, both of San Francisco; a daughter, Karen Dowell of San Francisco; and two sisters, Mary Moore and Jo Ann Moore, both of Seneca, S.C.

25, 1987. He was a charter member of the Pickens Jaycees, and had served as state vice president. He was a charter member of the Pickens Rotary Club and a member of Gr.ace United Methodist Church. Hp was a member of Masonic Lodge 79 A.F.M., and held the office of district deputy grand master. Mter serving as Pickens County auditor for 17 years, he was appointed commissioner of the South Carolina Tax Commission, a posi-tion he held 12 years.

He also served as administrator of Cannon Memorial Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Mary Darsey Durham; three sons, James W. Durham of Radford, Joe Darsey Durham of Pickens and David Lynn Durham of Columbia; and two brothers, Floyd O. Durham and Joe C. Dur- ham, both of Pickens.

Fleming, 66, of 97 Fourth Street died of natural causes Oct. 26, 1987, at Self Memorial Hospital. Surviving are a son, Morris Ray Godfrey of Atlanta, a daughter, Ramona Mitchell of Columbia; a brother, Thomas O'Dell of Greenwood; and two sisters, Frances Giles of Columbia and Rose Coleman of Travelers Rest.
