Mr. Gilbert at once procured a team and started with his ife, and Mrs. Hovenden, ho was visiting in the city, to 1 1 ubl ard.

The coroner was telegraphed for but he did not go down until on the early train this morning. Particulars of the death are meagre, but fully sufficient ito Ie given as delinite. Mr. Hovenden had Ix'en to Aurora in the morning and on his way home, this side of Hubbard, and near his house, his team became frightened and ran away. The horses ran the wagon up against a tree and it is supposed the shock threw Mr.

Hovenden from the wagon, and that the fall killed him instantly, as he was found lying dead in the road, and it was not noticed that he had moved from where he first fell. The body was badly mashed up, and is not in condition to lie in state long. The horses were not injured at all in the run, but the wagon was badly broken up. Mr. Hovenden was about sixty years of age, and was well supplied with the goods of this world.
