BRAVES Mike Poper, an attorney representing Southern California Chemical Company, told the Union Village Board at their meeting last week that the company's plant on Jefferson St is now meeting all requirements of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. Poper said the company has had a number of engineers in to revamp equipment since evaporation tanks overflowed eariy in May. An alarm has been installed on the tanks, be said, and no more spills should occur.
