Vanstrom, 74, one of the first women streetcar drivers in Minneapolis, died of leukemia Saturday at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Her John Derus, Minneapolis, is a Hennepin County commissioner and a chief lobbyist for the proposed Hennepin County light-rail system.
