Blueground Undergrass and Amazing Grass join Sloppy Joe, Burnt Toast Jam, Frogwater, Cool Waters, Old Truck and The Jug Band Aug. 9-11. Tickets start at $20; (920) 432-1045. Fourteen area bands crank it up for the The Razor's (94.7) Shut Up and Rockfest II at 1 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Park in Combined Locks.

Profane, Myopic Son, Simple Machine and others play the all-ages event. Tickets are $5 in advance at The Exclusive Co. and $9.47 at the gates. Not coming up Merle Haggard has canceled his Sept. 13 concert at Pavilion Nights.

Zydeco artist "Boozoo" Chavis performed March 27 at the big tent and passed away May 5. Jerry Lee Lewis, who was supposed to play the tent May 5 but suspiciously canceled last-minute, was hospitalized with pneumonia more than a month later. OK, so maybe that last one was just payback. Then again, psychic Sylvia Browne apparently isn't getting any bad vibes about coming back this year, and she would know. Her Sept.

16 appearance sold out Wednesday, but on Tuesday announced they're going to take another two weeks, making the Milwaukee show first up. It's batter up for the Tito Puente Orchestra at 8 p.m. Aug. 25 at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute. The sizzlin' Latin jazz band will headline Music from the Mound, which includes tailgating and choreographed fireworks.

Meanwhile, Champaign, 111., transplant Elwood has settled into the 6-11 p.m. slot. Pat Monahan came off so good on "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire" last week that I went out and bought Train's "Drops of Jupiter" album, which comes with a money-back guarantee from Columbia Records. Too bad movie studios don't make the same offer. After taking a hard-hat tour of the Resch Center last week and getting a brochure for the Weidner Center's new Act One season this week, just one thought: This city is soooo ready for a new arena.
