He was a former construction employee and a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Johnson Harleman of the home; a son, Ira Ellis "Judd" Harleman of Virginia Beach, two daughters, Dawn Yvonne Harleman of Laurens and Christy H. Sijon Heind Toubia Sijon, 76, of 112 Asbury died Feb. 13, 1989, at her home after a period of declining health. She was born in Darbechtar, Lebanon. She retired after 60 years in the grocery business and was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church. Surviving are three sons, Shaher L.

Southern, 88, of East Main Street, died Feb. 10, 1989, in Rogersville, Tenn. He was owner of Rogersville Wholesale Hardware and Grocery and a member of the First Baptist Church of Rogersville. Surviving are his wife, Curtis Wilson Southern of the home; two daughters, Marion Kalleher of Bristol, and Nancy Southern of Atlanta, two sisters, Mary Crumley of Kingsport, and Alice Southern of Rogersville, and two brothers, Dr. J.

Sanders, 2400 Lindale Anderson. Delia B. Scott REIDVILLE Delia Brewster Scott, of 144 College died Feb. 11, 1989, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Bea-verdam Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Surviving are five sons, Ozell Scott, Lewis Scott, Earl Scott and Toy Scott all of Reidville, and Lonnie Scott of Woodruff; a brother, David Brewster of Chester, and two sisters, Minnie Floyd of Woodruff and Mattie Shepherd Rev. P.E. Cook, United Methodist official, dies BAMBERG The Rev. Pierce Embree Cook of 410 East Railroad chairman of the Archives of the South Carolina United Methodist Conference and active in other areas of the church, died Feb. 13, 1989, at Richland Memorial Hospital.

He was 44. He was minister at Trinity United Methodist Church in Bamberg. He graduated from Wofford College and attended Duke. He graduated from the Methodist Theological School of Ohio. He was director of religious life at Epworth Children's Home.

He served the churches at Lake View and Union United Methodist Church, Knightsville United Methodist Church and the Church of the Good Shepherd. He was president of the Southeastern Judicial Historical Society of the United Methodist Church, a delegate to the World Methodist Convocation in Jerusalem, a delegate to to National Workshop on Christian Unity, interpreter of the South Carolina Methodist Conference Bi-Centen-nial of Methodism in America, and member of the Ecumenical Affairs Committee of the South Carolina Methodist Conference. He was president and Lion of the Year of the Summerville Noon Lions Club, chaplain of the Lancaster Lions Club, president of the Lancaster Ministerial Association and Bamberg Ministerial Alliance, president of the Lancaster Community Playhouse and president of Denmark Community Theater. Surviving are his wife, Joellen Williams Cook of the home; a son, Pierce Embree Cook III of the home; and a sister, Mrs. Kevin (Carol) Duggan of Columbia.

29203. Cooner Funeral Home, Bamberg. Claude Partain, former Newberry councilman, dies NEWBERRY Claude W. Partain, a former Newberry city councilman, died Sunday at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. He was 76.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a retired Newberry businessman. He served for 12 years on the Newberry City Council. He was a former member of the board of directors of the Clinton-Newberry Natural Gas Authority and was an active and honorary member of the Newberry Fire Department for over 30 years. He was a member of Aveleigh Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Janie Wilson Partain of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Len (Debbie) Turner of Newberry; a son, Tim W. Partain of Newberry; and five sisters, Mrs. Howard (Hedy) Clark of Newberry, Opal Ful-bright of Augusta, Mrs. Orrin (Judy) Gulley of Great Falls, Mrs.

Lanier (Sara) Stowers of Columbia and Mrs. Ernest (Bobbie) Coleman of Union. Graveside services: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family is at the residence.

Martha Dutton ANDERSON Martha Fields Dutton, 90, of 1009-A North Main died Feb. 12, 1989, at her home. She was a retired employee of Jackson Mill and a member of Iva Church of God. Surviving are two sons, Melvin F. Dutton of Iva and Columbus Dutton of Belton; five daughters, Frances Chappelear, Eva Dalton and Carrie Busby, all of Anderson, Hazel Hanks of Atlanta, and Geraldine Hall of Iva; and a sister, Gladys Thornton of Anderson.

Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel, Anderson, with burial in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery near Hartwell, Ga. The families will be at their respective homes. Frank P. Fudurlc Frank Peter Fuduric, 82, of 304 Rollingreen Road, died Feb.

11, 1989, following an extended illness. He retired from Union Carbide as a supervisor of the brush department after 49 years of service. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Josephine Hill Fuduric of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Karl (Faith) Bartz of Brookpark, Ohio; three sons, David Fuduric of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Dr.

James E. Fuduric of Cleveland, Ohio, and Thomas G. Fuduric of Greenville; and a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Janik of Mid-dlebourgh Heights, Ohio. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9 a.m.
