He was preceded in death by his father, Hugo Paul-Edward Erdmann.

The family invites those who knew and loved Lou to a grand celebration of his life at his home on Saturday, August 24, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial scholarship fund in theatre has been established in Lou's name through the Advancement Office at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. Lou's family wishes to thank their many friends for their loving support, and will always remember and appreciate the care and affection of Dr. McGovern, his partners and staff, the nurses and support staff at St.

Vincent Hospital after a long illness. She was born June 8, 1936 in Sturgeon Bay to the late Benjamin and Julia Huff and lived most of her life in this area. She was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church. In December of 1951 she married Allen Stephany and he passed away May 9, 1982.

Louis 0. Erdmann, 61, passed away at home in Green Bay, August 19, 1996, following a coura geous battle with cancer. He was born July 19, 1935, in Rushford (Omro), Wis. to Marjorie Haedt 'and Hugo Paul-Edward 'Erdmann. Although he Earned a bachelor's degree in En-'glish and German at North Central College in Illinois, with all intentions of becoming a minister, Dr.

'16rdmann found that the theatre was a stronger love. With a Masters from Kent State University and a Doctorate from the Ohio State University, he served the profession with quality. He became a member of the Kent State University theatre faculty in .1957. He served as Director of University Theatre from 1971-1984. Dr.

Erdmann directed, acted and designed over 200 productions rlearning, encouraging, and sup porting aspiring performers and technicians. Dr. Erdmann was a prime force behind the establishment and growth of Kent State's Porthouse Theatre, adjacent to Blossom Music Center (summer home of the Cleveland Orchestra) including serving as executive director from its opening in late 1969 through 1984. He was a major consultant for the design for both the E. Turner Stump and Wright-Curtis Theatres.

Dr. Erdmann directed two off-Broadway plays, the Pulitzer Prize jWminee Lester Sims Retires To- by William Curtis in 1984 Sophie in 1987. He served as a 'consultant to theatres in Ohio, West Virginia, New York, Florida, North and South Carolina, Missouri and Guatemala. His professional work was acknowledgement of his expertise and reputation. Lou retired from Kent State in 1987 and moved to Green Bay.

In 1988 he returned to Kent State to ireceive the President's Medal from President Michael Schwartz, who said, "For Dr. Erdmann's attention to his students, he is cited for truly genuine care for them as artists, human beings, and friends. His un-jselfish and dedicated service to Jent State University has been an inspiration to his colleagues. LOne of Lou's favorite projects as his work with the Northeast Wisconsin Alliance for Continuing education's Social Action Theatre, for which he and his wife and Jongtime creative partner, Eugenia, received the NUCEA Award tor. Innovative Programming in 1991. Lou's most recent award, the last of many, was received in January 1996 at the American College Theatre Festival where he, again with his wife, was presented with he Kennedy CenterAmerican College Theatre Festival Medallion for innovative teamwork and leadership within the region, and extraordinary individual artistic achievement consistent with the ytandards of excellence of Kenne CHRISTL, Peggy 27, Duarte, Calif. Frederick J. Nooyen Sr. Frederick J. Nooyen 80, Green Bay, died Saturday, August 17, 1996 at his home. He was born December 5, 1915 in the Town of Preble to the late Joseph and An-geline (Borchers) Nooyen.

Fred married Nettie Danelski August 26, 1939 at St. Cyril Methodius in the Town of Eaton. Fred worked at the Green Bay Food-Company for over 40 years. Fred was a member of Saint Mary's where he served in the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters in Duck Creek, Wis.

He devoted much of his life to being a model train hobbiest and woodworking. Survivors include his wife, Nettie; three daughters, Kathleen, Connie, Marie Nooyen; one son, Fred Nooyen three sisters, Clara Hallam, Frances Hill, Leona Noe; four grandchildren, Lisa, Michelle, Shannon, Jasmine. Gentine, 81, N6488 Riverview Plymouth, died Monday, Aug. 19, 1996 in Plymouth after an extended illness. In 1953 Leonard formed a partnership with Joseph Sartori of Cheese Corporation and launched a new company, Sar-gento Cheese Company Incorporated. His innovative spirit led to the development of many new retail-sized cheeses never before available in supermarkets. In the early 1960's, he sold the Plymouth Cheese Counter to focus on the quickly growing business at Sar-gento of which he became sole owner in 1966.

The family owned company continues today with four packaging locations and a technical research center under the name of Sargento Foods Inc. Survivors include his wife, Dolores; three sons, Lawrence (Kathy) Gentine, Plymouth; Louis (Michele) Gentine, Elkhart Lake; Lee (Debra) Gentine, Plymouth; one daughter, Ann Marie (Edward) Sturzl, Plymouth; 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Leonard was preceded in death by his eldest son, Leonard (Butch) Gentine; one grandson, Joey Gentine. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 22, at 11:00 a.m. at St.

John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. The Rev. Wayne Bittner, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will take place following the service at the church cemetery. Friends may call at Su-chon Funeral Home, 1317 State Hwy 67 in Plymouth on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m.
