The Longview Lobos will begin spring football training Tuesday. Head Coach Wilson (Swede Dees has announced, and approximately 75 candidates for the 1952 eleven are expected to report for the first practice session. The squad will be divided Into three groups during spring training, which will be limited to three weeks, somewhat shorter than the usual duration for spring football. The first few days will be limited to conditioning exercises and the first light scrimmage will be held a week after the start on spring training, Coach Dees said. The initial scrimmage is set for February 26.

A full scale intrasquad scrimmage will be staged February 29. The spring training period will close March 7, when the Lobos will meet the Longview High exes in a regulation game under the lights. The contest is simple and easy and is open to all baseball fans. There are no strings attached to the offer and there's nothing to buy in order to enter. Here are the few simple rules: 1.
