Her husband, a graduate of Mishicot High School and UW-Stevens Point with a degree in music education, is instrumental vocal Jeffery and Janet Ash Diederich completed the wedding party. The bride, daughter of Jean VandeWalle, 1765 Debra Lane, and Earl VandeWalle, Appleton, is employed by Fort Howard Corp. as a programmeranalyst. She graduated from Green Bay Preble High School and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where she majored in business administration and minored in computers. The bridegroom, son of Michael and Connie Stachl, 1722 Lorretta Lane, graduated from Preble High and IBA College of Cosmetology.

He is employed as a regional sales manager by M.A.N.-Roland U.S.A., main office in New Jersey. The Strands are making their home at 2400 Cedar Ridge following a honeymoon in the Cayman Islands. Their parents are Robert and Mary Tonkin, Waterloo, and Alan and Shirlee Larson, 1782 Burns Ave. The newlyweds make their home in Cedar Falls, Iowa, where they are students at the University of Northern Iowa. The bride graduated from West High School and is employed by the Brown Bottle Restaurant, both located in Waterloo. Her husband is a graduate of Green Bay Southwest High School. 5 at Union Congregational Church. The couple selected Joanne Friedrick and Michael Hoes as their honor attendants. The bride, daughter of Mary Roberts, 848 E. St. Francis Road, De Pere, and the late Hugh Roberts, graduated from De Pere High School and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

The bridegroom is the son of Raymond and Lucille Ash, Schofield. He is a graduate of D.C. Everest High School, Schofield, and UW-Eau Claire. Following a honeymoon in southern Missouri, the newlyweds are making their home in Madison where they are employed by the Wisconsin State Journal, she as a copy editor and her husband as a sports copy editor.
