The deep fryer can be used in center areas in malls, buildings with high roofs and outside. The Chester Smoked Pit is a commercial low-pressure smoker that can be used to barbeque, roast or cook without water. Giles Enterprises, Montgomery, manufactures convenience store and restaurant food cooking systems.

Group names Gilmore as director Candy Gilmore has been named director of outplacement services for H.S. Group, a recruitment, human resource consulting and outplacement firm. The company, at 2611 Libal recently expanded its Outplacement Center. Gilmore holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Marquette University. The company was founded 22 years ago by Jock Seal.

It has been providing outplacement services for corporations since 1984. Seal reported that the number of candidates served by the company doubled in 1988. More than 300 people have participated in the program over the past four years. She graduated from Northern Michigan Universi- Door Co. may generate 100 jobs Press-Gazette STURGEON BAY A pilot job program in Door County may create at least 100 new jobs in the next year. Door County is one of three Wisconsin counties participating in the WisJOBS program, according to Joanne Ator, chairman of the management team administering the $278,000 grant.

WisJOBS will reimburse employers for as much as $2,500 of the wages of every new, perma nent job they create in Door County over the next year, beginning March 20. Employers certify that the positions are new, do not displace other workers and will last for at least a year after the subsidy ends. Workers qualify for WisJOBS if they have been unemployed for at least seven days before being hired for a WisJOBS position. Briggs plant lays off 350 more workers WAUWATOSA (AP) Briggs Stratton Corp. has announced it will lay off another 350 hourly workers, bringing the number of union employees laid off since September to about 1,350. The company, based in surbur-ban Milwaukee, said the layoffs were necessary because retailers are taking a "wait-and-see" attitude toward reordering the small engines it manufactures. "As a result, the normal seasonal softening orders seems to have accelerated," the company said in a prepared statement.
