Preston Blake, pastor of the Firnt Baptist church of Newport News. The color scheme was white and green and beautiful decorations prevailed, the house beintf udorned with ferns and flowers. The bride attired in a white crepe de chene which was embroidered with forget-me-nots and carried a bouijuet of bride's roses and lilies of the valley.

Miss Simonson wore a white evening gown embroidered with sprays of flowers and carried a bouquet of carnations. Miss Eva Culley played the wedding march. The wedding was witnessed by sixty-five invited guests and followInR the ceromony a luncheon was served. Following Mr. and Mrs.

Wilcox left for a visit to Roanoke, Natural Bridge and the mountains of Virginia. Upon their return here on May 1, they will be at home to their friends on Am-monate avenue, Boulevard. Miss Hull has a large circle of friends and acquaintance and Is popular in church work, being actively engaged in the endeavors of the First Baptist church. Mr. Wilcox came here sometime ago from Hudson, and until recently was connected with the Administration Building at this port.

Gay streamer's of purple and white with soft shaded lights and Japanese lanterns suspended from the ceiling a most pious-lug- effect. General and Mrs. Harley B. Ferguson and Captain -and Mrs. Hines were assisted in receiving, by Olllcers and ladies of their staffs, in an attractive bower of frasrant spring flowers.
