He said Vieira left the bar at one point to tickle defendant Daniel Silvia with a bar straw while Silvia lay on top of the woman, but said Vieira did nothing else. The woman gave a different account. She testified that Vieira raped her after first holding her down while Silvia raped her. Pacheco said an officer tried to make him tell a different story about Vieira.

Interest to Teens ..29 MERCHANDISE: Seven people escaped injury when a turbojet plane landed without full landing gear Friday morning at Austin Straubel Field. The pilot, Mike Rose of Terra Haute, did "an excellent job" of setting down the twin engine Beechcraft, according to Donald Hoeft, airport director. Rose was flying six persons from Terra Haute to Green Bay in a charter plane owned by Aviation of Terra Haute. When he attempted to land about 9:15 a.m., the landing gear wouldn't lower completely. Airport emergency vehicles were brought out and two paramedics from the Ashwaubenon Public Safety Dept.

were called in to stand by. The plane was landed on the runway without incident and passengers were evacuated. According to Hoeft, the pilot performed an in-flight procedure to move the propellers so they weren't perpendicular to the runway, thus keeping them farther from the ground. One propeller was damaged slightly, but there was little damage to the plane, he said. Air traffic was diverted elsewhere on the field and not interrupted because of the incident.

Beloiro, Cracks found in D.C. buses; no problems here WASHINGTON (AP) Cracks were discovered in the undercarriages of nearly half the new buses built by Neoplan USA Corp. that have been operating in the city since last summer, the Transit Authority said. A lV4-inch-long hairline crack was discovered last weekend by a maintenance worker during routine service. The other 75 Neoplan buses in the fleet were immediately inspected, officials said, and 31 others had the same problem, said transit agency spokeswoman Beverly Silverberg.

(The city of Green Bay owns six Neoplan buses, but Transit Director Thomas Holschuh said Friday none of the cracks have been found on city buses'. However, he said maintenance crews will be alerted to the potential flaw. have ongoing maintenance and, to my knowledge, we have had no problems with cracks in the main frame or undercarriage," Holschuh said.) The Washington buses remained in operation, Silverberg said.
