In addition to Blanche, Souix City's goalie Keith Hall, is also a Denver grad.

Dave Kartio is the lone Souix City player with USHL experience. He is a native of Sault Ste. Marie, and he played briefly with the Canadian Soo. THl'NDER BAY Coach Lee Fogolin has the league's leading scorer Barry Hogan back this year but lost his next two highest scorers, Bill McEwan who went to Johnstown in the Eastern Hockey League, and Dave Merritt who gave up playing. Goal tending was one of the Twins biggest problems last season and Fogolin has several good prospects battling for berths on the team.

Dave Siciliano, a center, who played with Marquette two years ago and in Europe last season, and Steve Rubenich, a standout defenseman in Junior A hockey, are expected to help the Twins this season. Fogolin expects his team to be better balanced this year and he expects more hustling from younger and faster players who have been added to the team. MARQUETTE Gerry Sullivan, general manager and player for the iron Rangers last season, has assumed the duty of head coach. The Iron Rangers have Ozzie O'Neill, who ranked second in league scoring last year returning to join Sully, who was third in scoring. Sullivan's immediate need is to replace defenseman Wayne McCuaig, who was a second team USHL all-star last year has moved to Sault Ste.

George Lyle, a star center from Vancouver, British Columbia, is expected to provide the offensive spark for the Chiefs. The Chiefs expect to be a bit slow on defense but Ruohonen hopes to offset this with hard checking. CANADIAN SOO Jim Glenwright will again guide the Canadians and expects his team to be improved over last year with several key additions.

In addition to acquiring McCuaig from Marquette, the Canadians have defenseman John Jaggers, a former Wisconsin Badger star who played in the Eastern Hockey League last year, and Dan Tremblay a right winger from Winnipeg.
