Donald Edward S.Wal Edward S. Wal, 56, 4319 County Trunk East, Co-nover, died Thursday morning in an Eagle River hospital. He was born March 21, 1924 in Cudahy to the late Frank and Mary Wal. Mr. Wal was a veteran of World War II.

He married Edith Nelson May 30; 1953. Mr. Wal was a machinist for Paper Converting Machine Green Bay, for 18 years, and then owned the Lena Restaurant, Lena, for five years before moving to Eagle River two years ago. Ebbeson, had argued at a pretrial motions hearing in September, however, that the Door County jury list is not representative of the county's population because most names are taken from the tax rolls and polls lists which exclude a large number of residents. STURGEON BAY (PG) A challenge to Door County's jury selection process Friday resulted in the postponement of a manslaughter trial until April.

Circuit Judge S. Dean Pies ordered the prosecution to discharge the present panel and order a new jury panel to be formed. Noting this would take considerable time, Pies postponed the trial of Robert J. Poh, 26, Sturgeon Bay, which was scheduled for Jan. 21, until April 8.

Poh is charged with the deaths of three young women on April 25, 1980, by negligent use of a motor vehicle while intoxicated. District Attorney Jerry Schuster noted the present jury could not be accepted because the list from the northern part of Door County could not be certi R30E, Town of Suamlco. In The purchase of WFRV-TV by Midwest Radio-Television Minneapolis, was confirmed Friday by James Rupp, executive vice president of Midwest. He said it would take from nine months to a year for the.transaction to be approved by the Federal Communications Commission.

His company owns and operates WCCO-TV and Radio in Minneapolis. The transaction also will include the WFRV satellite station WJMN-TV in Esca-naba, Mich. The purchase price was not disclosed. The purchase was reached in an agreement between Cosmos Broadcasting Corp. and Orion Broadcasting Inc.

He was a director of the Northeast Lumber Producers Assoc. Mr. Saenger managed several Softball teams in addition to serving as an umpire. He was the current Secretary-Treasurer of the Northeast Steam Antique Club and a member of the Lark Dartball Team. Mr.

Saenger was active in the church, participated in the choir and held various offices. He also served on the Lark School Board. Survivors are his wife, Anne; nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Nickel Funeral Home, Morrison, from 10 to 12 noon Sunday, and from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

March of Dimes campaign The 1981 Northeastern Division March of Dimes campaign was officially opened this week with the mailing of Mothers March Pass-the-Envelope kits to selected residents in the community.
