Surviving are a half-sister, Miss Ruth Wood of Williamston, and a half-brother, Herman L. Wood of Williamston. Cox Funeral Home of Belton is in charge.

Mrs. Copeland E. E. Wood Miss LYMAN Funeral services for Miss Sarah Emily Drake, 57, of Gap Creek Road, Rt. 1, Lyman, who died Thursday, will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m.

at the Wood Mortuary in Greer by the Rev. E. C. Campbell. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m.

at Freeman Cemetery near Hendersonville, N. by the Rev. Quay Corn. The body is at the mortuary and the family is at the home of a sister, Mrs. Celia Brown, Gap Creek Road.

Henry Vandewall ANDERSON Henry Vandewall, 68, of Asbury Church Road, Rt. 3, Anderson, died in a local hospital at 12:15 a.m. Friday. He was a native of New York, was a retired truck line owner, a veteran of World War II and a Baptist. Surviving are, his wife, Mrs.

Rosa Ferrell McDougald a de wall; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mary Hutchins of Anderson; and a sister, Mrs. Harry Telleare of New York. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Fant's Grove Baptist Church by the Rev.

S. D. Hart and the Rev. D. Clarence Shirley.

Burial will be in church body is at McDougald Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Laughter FOREST CITY, N. C.

Mrs. Cora Mae Laughter, 88, of 60 S. Broadway, died at a Rutherford hospital at 2:10 a.m. Friday. She was a native of Cleveland County, N.

and attended the Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Maude Manley of Greenville, S. and Mrs. Minnie Wishon and Miss Mary Laughter of Forest City; three sons, Logan Laughter of Greenville, and Charles and Claude Laughter of Travelers Rest, 40 grandchildren and 52 greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Sandy Level Baptist Church by the Rev. Dan Hensley and the Rev. Tull Hollifield. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The body is at the home. Crowe Mortuary, Spindale, is in charge. J. F. Floyd GREER Joseph F.

Floyd, 84, of Apt. 2, Maple Village, died Friday at 11:25 a.m. at his home. He was a native of Inman, a son of the late Crawford and Leana Lawrence Floyd. He lived Greer for 30 years and was a member of Floyd's Creek Baptist Church near Inman.

He was a member of Tucapau Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Minnie Lee Hawkins Floyd; three daughters, Mrs. G. W.

Moore of Welford, Mrs. Edward Rogers of Reidville and Mrs. H. C. Campbell of Greer; four sons, N.

C. Floyd of the home, Joe M. Floyd of Miami, Olin Floyd of Decatur, and Alfred Floyd of Fort Myers, 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Wood Mortuary. A.

E. Mull EASLEY Augustus E. "Guss" Mull, 87, of Old Greenville Road, died at his home at 9:20 a.m. Friday. He was a native of Transylvania County, N.

son of the late George E. and Mary Lealon Mull. He was a member of Easley First Baptist Church, a WICKES LUMBER and BUILDING SUPPLIES CENTER Prefinished PANELING MAHOGANY GREER-Mrs. Eshchol Davis Copeland, 68, of 202 Trade widow of J. Oscar Copeland, died Friday at 2:03 p.m.

at a Greenville hospital. She was a native of the Greer area, a daughter of the late Rev. George and Mildred Cothran Davis. She was a member of Victor Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, John G.

Copeland of the home; a sister, Mrs. Erah Powers of Startex; two brothers, A. H. Davis of Taylors and G. N.

of Simpsonville; and a grandchild. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Wood Mortuary. Mrs. G. F.

Jones Mrs. Doris Burkhalter, Jones, 33, former resident of Greenville, wife of SP-5 Gary F. Jones, died in Berlin, Germany, where her husband is stationed. A daughter of Luther E. and Gladys Smith Burkhalter, of Greenville, she was born i in Laurens.

She attended schools at Gray Court and Woodruff lived in Gray Court before moving to Greenville 15 years ago. Since May, 1968, she lived in Germany with her husband, who was stationed with the U. S. Army. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church of Gray Court.

Surviving also are a daughter, Miss Mary Elizabeth Jones of Berlin, Germany; a son, Luther Hicks Jones of Berlin, Germany; two sisters, Mrs. James D. (Catherine) Parker, pre (Ruby) Simpsonville Eaton of and Greenville; Mrs. Ronnie and two brothers, Charles Lee Burkhalter of Greenville and Douglas E. Burkhalter of Taylors.

Funeral, arrangements will be announced by Thomas McAfee Funeral Home. The body will be returned to Greenville. The family is at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Burkhalter, 10 Lester Ave.

He was a native of Anderson County, son of the late William and Deliliah Gambrell. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church and Pelzer Masonic Lodge 217. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elsie Anders White; daughter, Mrs. Truman (Sarah) Hunt of Easley; two brothers, Raymond White of Pelzer and W.

I. White of Dacusville; four sisters, Mrs. Pauline Hunt of Easley, Mrs. Josie Moody and Mrs. Mabel Marshbanks of Greenville and Mrs.

B. Welch, 53, of 609 McCown died at an Atlanta, nursing home Friday. He was a native of Mountain City, son of Mrs. Molly Welch Elrod. He was a carpenter.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eva Swilling Welch; two sons, Jerry and Ronald Welch of Anderson; a daughter, Mrs. Delores Crow of Anderson; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Rollins of Anderson; a half-brother, Herbert Elrod of Georgia; and four grandchildren. M. Thacker of 107 Hammett St. Ext. died Friday at 5:20 a.m. at a local hospital.

A daughter of the late Edward H. and Elizabeth Morgan Henderson, she was born in Pelham. She lived most of her life in Greenville and lived on Hammett Street for 27 years. She attended the Park Place Church of God. Surviving also are a daughter, Mrs.

C. O. Sanders SENECA Cullen Otto Sanders, 76, died at a Lexington rest home at 5 a.m. Friday. He was a native of Oconee County, a son of the late Thomas Andrew and Susan Ila Brooks Sanders.

He was a retired farmer and lived in the Return community near Seneca. He was a World War I veteran and a member of Return Baptist Church. He was the member of his immediate family. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Seneca Mortuary by the Rev.

Earl Mosteller. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers nephews. The body is at the mortuary where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

Zion died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was a native of Greenville County, a son of Mr. and Mrs. David Riley. Surviving are his wife, Mrs.

J. F. Watts J. Furman Watts, of 533 Kalmia Drive, Oralndo, a former resident of Greenville, died Thursday at 3:30 a.m. at an Orlando hospital.

A native of Fountain Inn, he was a son of Mrs. Sophronia Wix Watts of Greenville and the late J. L. E. Watts.

He spent most of his life in Greenville and in the Sans Souci community, but for 12 years, he lived in Orlando. He was a retired drug clerk and a Mason. He was a member of Sans Souci Baptist Church. Surviving also are his Mrs. Kathaline Edwards Watts; a daughter, Mrs.

Paul W. (Myrna) Roberts of Orlando; two sons, Brian A. and F. Watts Jr. of Oralndo; a sister, Mrs.

James V. (Ruth) Wherry of Greenville; three brothers, James T. Paul Watts of Greenville and Lloyd W. Watts of New York City; and two grandchildren. The body is being returned Saturday to Thomas McAfee Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of his sister, Mrs. James V. Wherry, 218 Kirk Blvd. B. T.

Harris GREENWOOD Boyd Thomas Harris, 52, died at 10 p.m. Thursday in a local hospital. He was born in Gaffney, a son of Mrs. Fannie Oxford Harris and the late Charlie Harris. He lived in Greenwood for 35 years and was a World War il veteran and member of Abney Memorial Baptist Church.

Surviving also are his wife, Mrs. Hazel Hollingsworth Harris; two daughters, Mrs. Ransom Rauton and Mrs. Steve Flemming of Greenwood; three sisters, Mrs. Addie Parker, Mrs.

Rebea Cooksey and Mrs. Thelma Hill of Gaffney: a brother, Charles Harris of Gaffney; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 4 p. m. at Abney Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev.

1, Woodruff, Reidville community, died Friday at 8 p.m. in a Columbia hospital. He was a native of Greenville, County, a son of the late William H. and Ultama Smith Mayfield. He was a member and former deacon of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and a member of the Reidville Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Olive Campbell Mayfield; a daughter, Miss Evelyn Mayfield of Gastonia, N.C.; two stepsons, Ernest of Greer and Hubert White of Greenville; and a sister, Mrs. Altha Burgess of Greenville. Tooker, 52, of 204 Biltmore Drive, died at his home at 7 p.m. Friday. He was a native of York, N. a son of the late Austin and Emma Halaback Tooker. He lived in Greenville before moving to Easley in 1968.

He was manager of Hardee's in Easley. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion and York Baptist Church, N. J. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eleanor Harden Tooker; daughter, Mrs.

Priscilla Cruell of North Augusta; a stepson, Jack R. Blackmon of Easley; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Violet Green of North Augusta and Mrs. Jewel Tager of Glavenville; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will 1 be announced by Posey Funeral Home, Langley.

Robinson Funeral home is in charge of local arrangements. the Rev. Gary Byrd, the Rev. Ralph Rhyne and the Rev. Donald Hawthorne.

Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Garden. Pallbearers will be Neil, Freddy and Barry Hollingsworth, Tommy and Danny Parker and John Lawton. The body is at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Rauton, 17 Manning Road, Avondale, and will be placed in the church at 3 p.m. Saturday.

He a native of Alabama and was a retired truck driver. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ida Marie Chavis Smith; three sons, William E. and Roy Willie Smith of Edgefield and Henry Rodney Smith of Ward; a brother, Woodrow W. Smith of Orlando, a sister, Mrs.

Myrtle Fetner of Williamston; and a grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 4 p.m. at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home by the Rev. J. T.

Littlejohn and the Rev. Conrad Johnston. Burial will be in East View Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. G.

C. Owens UNION George C. Owens. 70, of 200 Dawkins died Friday at 8:10 p.m. at a local hospital.

He was a native of Union County, a son of the late George C. and Mattie Sweat Owens. He was a retired painter and a member of the Order of Redmen. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ellen Doris L.

Owens; two daughters, Miss Millie Owens of the home and Mrs. Marvin Hopkins of Rt. 1, Buffalo; a son, Otis Lee Patterson of Rt. 4. Union; three stepdaughters, Mrs.

Ball and his wife, Mary MaGaha Ball of Rt. 2, Woodruff, died Friday at 5:15 p.m. Mr. Ball, 49, was a retired employe of Riverdale Mills. He was a son of William Henry and Zora Burke Ball of Newport, Tenn.

He was a disabled veteran of World War II and a member of Woodruff Church of God. Mrs. Ball, 44, was a daughter of Mrs. Myrtle Huskie MaGaha of Greenville and the late Joe A. MaGaha.

She was a seamstress at Her Majesty plant and member of Woodruff Church of God. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy B. Richards of Woodruff; two sons, Buster Ronald Ball of Woodruff; and four grandchildren. Surviving Ball also are a sister, Mrs.

Will Mintz of Canton, N.C.; and a brother, Scott MaGaha of Greenville. Mr. Ball is also survived. by four sisters, Mrs. Grace Click, Mrs.

Minnie Hale, Mrs. Ruby Crumb and Mrs. Polly Smith of Newport, and five brothers, Carl, Arlis, Hubert, Robert and Henry Ball Jr. of Newport, Tenn. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Lanford-Boyter Mortuary.
