Crowley Mrs. Evalyn Glass Crowley, 75, of 204 Camden Lane, Belle Meade, died yesterday at 11:40 a.m. at her home following an illness of seven months. Born in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Leroy Davis and Eva (Paul) Glass, she made her home in Biddeford, Maine, before coming to Greenville in March 1959. Mrs.

Crowley was associated with the telephone company in Maine for many years before her retirement. She was a member of St. Matthew Methodist Church and while a resident of Biddeford, was a member of Foss Street Methodist Church. Surviving are 4 daughters, Mrs. Francis M.

Bell of Greenville, Mrs. R. Harold Chellis of Easley, Mrs. Ermont Bowen of Springvale, Maine, and Mrs. John Taylor of Randolph, Maine; a sister, Mrs.

Chester Simpson of Limerick, Maine, and 14 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by The Mackey Mortuary. The body is at the mortuary. Mrs. Banther BREVARD, N.

C. Mrs. Maudie Anders Banther, 63, lifelong resident of Transylvania County, died at a hospital in Morganton, N. Tuesday morning after a long illness. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Quebec community.

Surviving are her husband, Loonie Banther: 5 daughters, Mrs. Ethel Mitchell of Brevard, Mrs. Vaughn Galloway of Brevard, Mrs. Ray Owens of Rosman, Mrs. Perry, Anders of Greenville, S.

Mrs. Charles Hinkle of Greer, S. a son, Marvin Banther of the home; 2 sisters, Mrs. Jule Lance of Brevard and Mrs. Namon Galloway of Rosman; a brother, Jule Anders of Brevard; and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Macedonia Baptist Church by Rev. Claude Holcombe and Rev. Jesse Meece. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Ouzts, 78, retired farmer of the Pittsburg section of Saluda County, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday after two years of declining health and three months of illness. He was a native Greenwood County, a son of the late James F. and Lavicie Dorn Ouzts. He had spent most of his life in the Pittsburg section and was a member and steward of Mt.

Carmel Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Josie Johnson Ouzts: a daughter, Mrs. Roy Shell of Greenwood; 4 sons, James Frank Wayne M. and Roy Ouzts, all of Callison; a sister, Mrs.

E. Johnson SALUDA Mrs. Ethel Viola Johnson, 78, died at a Greenwood hospital Monday night after 10 days of illness. She was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Orander and was a member of Richland Springs Baptist Church. Her husband was the late Caleb Edgar Johnson.

Surviving are a son, Gurnie Earl Johnson of Saluda; 2 daughters, Mrs. J. B. Robertson and Mrs. Roy Stoudemayer, both of Saluda; a sister, Mrs.

Beaty D. Lollis ROCK HILL--Funeral services for Beaty David Lollis, 71, of 471 Liberty Rock Hill, who died Monday, were conducted Tuesday afternoon at Bethel Methodist Church by Rev. B. R. Dickerson.

Burial was in Laurelwood Cemetery. He was born in Greenville County, in the Marietta section, a son of the late George Lollis and Martha Langford Lollis, but had lived in Rock Hill since 1941. He was in the insurance business for 40 years, being associated at various times with Pilot Life Insurance Liberty Life Insurance Palmetto Life Insurance Co. and Carolina Life Insurance serving as agent to district manager. He retired five years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Carrie Bell Lollis; two sons, Ray Lollis of the home and William Lollis of Elkhurst, N.Y.; three daughters, Mrs. J. Frank Morrison of York, Mrs. Marion Knight of Charlotte and Mrs.

William Flinchum of Reidville, N.C.; one grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Owens of Greenville and Mrs. Betty Jackson of Ware Shoals. Mrs. Ada Brock NORRIS Mrs.

Ada Galloway Brock, 69, died Tuesday at 10 p.m. in a Pickens hospital after several years of declining health and two weeks of illness. She was born at Rocky Bottom, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hope Galloway, and had lived most of her life at Norris.

Elizabeth Scott Ford Wilkins, wife of Ernest Cline Wilkins, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the home of a daughter. Mrs. W. T.

Mathers, 1251 S. W. 21st Miami. She was a daughter of the late Martha Aeron Scott Ford and John Thomas Ford of Scottsburg, Ky. Surviving also are two daughters, Mrs.

Born in Chicago, a daughter of the late Albert J. and Catherine (Doyle) Bernhard, she made her home in Hubbard Lake, before coming to Greenville Nov. 1, 1961. She formerly lived in Chicago and Evanston, Ill. Mrs.

Cameron was an Episcopalian. Surviving also are a son, William David Cameron Jr. of Shaker Heights, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Gale of Mrs. H.

S. Adams of San Francisco, and Mrs. M. B. Austin of Hillsboro, and four grandchildren.

He was a member of St. Thornas Lutheran Church and was a retired farmer. His wife, Mrs. Emma Bickley Shealy, died a number of years ago. Surviving are a son, Ellis Shealy of Chapin; a daughter, Mrs.

Mamie Lee Son of Little Mountain; 3 sisters, Mrs. Mary Wessinger and Mrs. Lilla Slice, both of Chapin, and Mrs. Corrie Hiller of Newberry; 3 brothers, J. Ben Shealy of Columbia, Daniel Shealy of Chapin and Berley Shealy of Newberry; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

and Ballenger Paving Co. of Greenville, acting jointly, submitted the 1 low bid yesterday for paving the main runway, taxiways and ramps of the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport, and the Federal Aviation Agency turned over to the Joint Airport Commission $1,397,000 as the federal government's share of runway construction. The low bid was $1,984,234. George Gary of Atlanta, chief of the airports division for the FAA's southern region, flew here yesterday to present the government's grant offer, largest single grant offered any airport in the Carolinas. Only seven other larger grants have been made in the country during the current fiscal year out of a budget of $75,000,000, and it was the first grant offer extended by the southern region which was formed with headquarters in Atlanta in recent months.

Government grants for construction of the new airport now total $2,056,000, previous commitments being for site preparation, which is now estimated to be 98 per cent complete. 0. L. (Andy) Andrews, executive director of the new airport, said yesterday that construction on the terminal building and the control tower, two separate buildings, is now "about out of the ground." He said the airport commission anticipates receiving about 000 more from the government as its share of the land cost. He said that the commission will hold its regular meeting today and at that time he will submit the FAA grant offer and the bids on runway construetion.

Other bidders on the work and their bids were Road Builders, Inc. of Nashville, 342: Dickerson and Southern Road Builders, Inc. of Monroe, N. $2,159,767, and Wright Brothers of Columbus, $2,513,852. The low bid on the runway, taxiways and ramps will be recommended to the commissioners.
