Roy Gash SPARTANBURG Roy Earl Gash, 77, of 3 die on roads A North Carolina man who was killed in a hitand-run accident was among three traffic fatalities reported Saturday to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. George Little Edwards, 69, of Cleveland, N.C., was struck by a car as he walked along state 72 near Chester. Robert Hilton Sapp, 38, of Lancaster died around noon Saturday in a one-car wreck near Lancaster.

A 41-year-old Salley man, Ril Myloy Atkinson, was killed when he lost control of the car he was driving on a secondary road just outside of Salley. Born in Nova Scotia, Canada, he lived in Boston, before moving to Easley seven months ago. He was a retired plumbing and heating contractor and was a member of Tremont Temple Baptist Church in Boston, where he was a member of the Brotherhood and the Baptist Social Union.
