INSTRUCTOR TO ADMINISTER OATH Douglas K. Amdahl to Become City's New Judge on Thursday Douglas Kenneth 41, lawyer, teacher and biggame hunter, is to be sworn in as the new Minneapolis municipal judge at 8:45 a.m. Thursday. The oath is to be administered by Municipal Judge Donald Barbeau, one of Amdahl's instructors at the Minneapolis-Minnesota college of law, from which the new jurist obtained his law degree. Amdahl was appointed by Gov.

Andersen to fill the vacancy created by the election of Municipal Judge Luther B. Sletten to the district bench. Amdahl received the highest vote in a poll conducted by the bar association. Since 1955 Amdahl has been a member of the county attorney's staff. His county salary has been $10,430 a year.

His new salary will be $13,500. At its 1957 organizational meeting, the city council gave Amdahl three votes in balloting for city attorney. Charles TODAY'S STAR LADY Mother Not Needed Now?
