About 35 members of Grain Millers local 118 have been notified of the layoff while construction work is going on. Cargill officials said the elevator will be ready for reopening at the start of navigation in 1962. Older portions of the elevator, which dates back to the 1880s, will be torn down, officials said, and will be replaced with steel tanks, a new steel head house, and new high-speed handling equipment. The slip will be dredged to a depth to accommodate the largest ocean-going vessel calling at Duluth and a new Jonet lau 7 Pre doctoral fellowships were given to Thomas J.

Income Dip Reported by Nu-Line Nu-Line Industries, reported net income of $52,451 and sales of $1,230,875 for the fiscal year ending March 31, a decline from net income of $84,438 and sales of $1,597,332 for the previous year. A.

D. Van Horssen, president, said the decline was caused by a cutback in government defense spending in the spring and summer of 1960. Despite the setback, the company, which makes electrical connectors for the electronics industry, completed a major expansion program, Van Horssen said, taking over an additional floor in the former Strutwear building at 1015 S. '6th St. and adding almost 100 new employes.

The addition of 16,000 square feet of space gives the company 50,000 square feet of manufacturing space, Van Horssen said, for its 203 employes. The company increased its net worth by more than $800,000, Van Horssen said, and by September will be geared to handle a sales volume of up to 10 million dollars a yean Stond Pkg 31 30 5 .4 54.3 .4 24 3 15.4 .4 65 66 41 4 65.61 44 86 .4 64 41 .7 44 2 .4 54 2 .4 32. 6 .1 42 23 51.1 41.3 .1 50 3 .6 13.4 3 87.4 ,4 26.4 .2 43.3 30 .2 24 1 ,2 26 5 .1 54 .4 497 .1 49 5 .2 Kaiter Alum Kennecott Kern Id Koooeii Koive'te Kresge SS lane Bryant lear lerner Sir tOF Gln lib.McNil liag My Lionel lockh Aire loed i Then Ions Cem Cash Commodities Metals MIOAr PiWtburgK Itcrop metall 00 Coooer (Conn Vallayl 3I Foreign Silver (troy oi 91 lead (Maw Vorkl 0. lit Tin (New Yorlrl SI .12 Zinc (St. louli Produce Market Area Market Friday EGGS Grode A lorae, 22-25c A medium, 17 20c: l7-20c; 15-18c- tH.llen, 15-16c.
