The veteran actor credits his success in part to the "good season" he enjoyed in Minneapolis in 1916. "We played for 52 weeks at the Unique theater on Hennepin avenue," he said in a telephone interview. "Florence Stone was the leading man in the company, and we did a different play each week. That season gave me the experience and confidence I needed to embark on a successful Now "hale and hearty" at 65, Andrews has abandoned the theater and motion pictures to concentrate on his role as the Old Ranger of the "Death Valley Days" television series.

He sports a 145 average and bowls in The Old Ranger's League at Van Nuys, Calif. "Life has been good," Andrews said. "Will you thank Minneapolis for me.
