A good deal of interest is being manifested in the meet especially in the lOfl-yard dash and the high jump, as several good men are touted to win these events. A good deal of speculation is on as to who will win the meet, many believing that it lies between the 114th 113th Field Artillery.

However, several claim that om of the infantry rejrirr.ents will make a strong bid for first honors. Chief Beneder, division athletic director, through his commission will offer three boxes of athletic goods, valued at $300 per box to the regiments winning first, second and third places. These boxes have arrived and are ready for distribution by the chief. It is expected also that some of the merchants will offer prizes, many already having done so. While the measles quarantine has considerably interfered with practice in the various events, Capt.

John Craig nevertheless expects the meet to be a hummer and is making all preparation to entertain a big crowd.
