have cured me." Uruce Doster lirug Co PHONE 199. Washington streets. -After which the car can run on out to the Southern 1'epot on the trolley tracks, nnd get back on Its own trucks, Somewhat the same kind of arrang-ment appears to be in mind for Anderson, which will put the electric into satisfactory competition with any inter-urban line which may be completed between these cities. That su. a plan rould most easily be accomplished, can be seen by an examination of the plans of the tracks.

Coming into Greenville from Anderson, the tracks of the Greenville Traction Company on Augusta street, nnd the tracks of the Southern Hallway, ure in close proximity near the C. G. Station, liy wry small amount of work, a spur track could connect the two, and with another such arrangement nt the Southern Depot, the uffair would he arranged quite simply, Eince the electric car could run over the trolley tracks with no readjustment. An arrangement with the Greenville Traction Company which would assure that company of the revenues which it would gain from transporting passengers over this route, would lie entirely satisfactory to both companies, it is believed, and would greatly accommodate the traveling public, in addition to which It would undoubtedly Increase travel for both lines. When such a system has been inaugurated, which appears a not-dls-tnnt development, ft regular schedule between Greenville and Anderson, with cars leaving every hour, nnd on a schedule' of something over nn hour, appears a probable develop-nn nt.

Should this system he in operation until about eleven o'clock at night, ns It appears is being considered, there will be no other agent which will so quickly develop the suburban districts. The time seems fast passing when railroad trains cannot stop except nt rather large centers of habitation. The electric cars not being under the same system ns the rather comber-some and clumsy steam engine, can stop nnd start without much extra exp. nse, and the faculty of getting under way quickly and without loss of time or energy, will make frequent stops a matter of course. I.Ike the trolley cars, it appears to be In the plan of thlnes that the electric, cars will slop at every few tulles, or even more frequently, at, designated spots where they tnny be flagged down by passengers.

The result of these Innovations nn Ihe railroad, Is easily seen. With the late opi ration of the ears in the! evenings, and their frequent trips, I people who wish to work In the city, and yet live In the rnnntrv, may then have their tastes nnd desires fulfilled. All along the route, hi Riitiful country homes and modern truck farms will spring Into being, and Greenville will count In Its real pop.
