died at his home in Wert Peker this morning at 4 ocloci an illness of two weeks. He was born in Martin township in Anderson county in 1831, andwas the son of the late Enoch H. Drase and Mrs. Parmelia Ann Robinson Drake. He was married twice, first in 1871 to Miss America Wardiaw of Andersen county, who died In 1310, and to this union were 14 children, twelve of them having lived until manhood and worn anil is second marriage In 191J to Mrs.

Elia Crowley Eidson or Crawford, Ga. Mr. Drake was a devoted and loval member of the Union Grove Methodist church for 63 years. He helped to build the church and for many years served as steward and trustee, also served as superintendent of the Sunday school. He 18 survived by his widow, Mrs.

Mr. White was the son of the late Robert White and Carrie Norman White, was born and reared in the Holly Springs section and for 12 years had lived here. During that time he has been employed In the Pacific mills at Lyman. Surviving are his wife, Mrs.

Eula Morrow White, five daughters, Misses Ja-mell, Mary Sue, Jessie and Carolyn White; three sons. Joe, Morris and James Robert Wlilte; and two grandchildren. They have been in Woodruff for the past few months planning to make their home herp. Mrs. Riddle was active in the church and Sunday school work of the Inman Presbyterian church, having been president of the auxiliary and teacher of a Sunday school class for several years. W. Buford Davis, Greer, Dies At 42 Headed Electrical Department Public Vorks Commission GREER. Dec. 5 W. Buford Davis, 42, died suddenly last night at 11:15 o'clock at his home, 20 South avenue.

Mr. Davis was In charge of the electrical dcrwtrtment for the Commission of Public Works. He had been a resident of Greer for eight years and prior to coming here he was connected with the Duke Power company at Fountain Inn. He was a member of the Fountain Inn Masonic lodge, and was a member of the First Baptist church at Fountain Inn. He was a World War veteran.

Surviving are his wife, MVS. Bessie Boker Davis, I daughters, Bessie Coker Davis, five daughters, Mrs. Ruby Masters, Misses Dorothy, Margaret, Marion and Audrey Davis; four sons, H. Marshall, Tommle and Vance Davis: one half- sister. Miss Margaret Davis and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the First Baptist church here, and win tie conducted by the Rev. J. Lester Lane, assisted by the Rev. Palmer Leonard. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial park near Greenville.
