Carl Schoenbeck, 75, was found dead in hi3 cottage at Kelly Lake about 6 o'clock Wednesday night by a neighbor. Freeman Gidney. Schoenbeck lived alone at the cottage, and it was believed that he was in the process of making breakfast Wednesday morning when he fell over dead. Coroner J.

S. Dougherty, Suring, said death was due to a heart attack. The body is at the Zingler Funeral home here but no funeral arrangements have been made. There are no immediate survivors, the closest being two nephews, Walter, Bagley, and Irvin, Oconto, and a niece, Mrs. Frank Treml, Grant.

Elinore Hiatt Bride At McAllister Church Special to Press-Gazette CRIVITZ, Wis. The English Lutheran church of McAllister was the scene of a quiet evening wedding Wednesday when Elinore Hiatt. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.

W. Hiatt, became the bride of Leslie Baker, sen of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Baker. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a tailored suit of Oxford gray with a whie blouse and dubonnet accessories.

Her only attendant was Miss Katherine Rademaker, who also wore a gray suit with a rose blouse and black accessories. Each of Ihem wore a corsage of roses and baby mums. The bridegroom was attended by a brother of the bride, Aubrey Hiatt. Immediately after the service late supper was served to a group Police Set-Up Is Discussed Ordinance Revamping Kewaunee Department To Be Prepared Soon Special to Press-Gazette KEWAUNEE, Wis. Meeting in an adjourned session Tuesday evening the council once more deferred action on the matter of purchasing a car for the police department.

Some time was given to the discussion of the police department setup and it seems that there is a question as to whether jt is properly organized. By that is meant whether the original method of appointing the members (if the department, particularly the chief, has been complied' with. City Attorney W. A. Cowell pointed out to the council that under the statutes the chief of police is a city officer and as such is entitled to the same rights and powers as an elective or appointive official.

Seymour FFA Members Win Judging Honors Special to Press-Gazette SEYMOUR, Wis. In the state FFA judging contests at Madison last Friday Seymour agricultural students won several honors. The livestock judging team won a first rating in a contest in which 150 teams took part. The crops team also won a first rating and Charles Jenkins of this team received fourth high grade of the contest, while Vincent Krahn, also of this team, had eighth high score in the state. The dairy cattle team rated a first in competition with about 200 teams.

It was pointed out that the stone wall could be erected for less money than concrete find as a result the city crew will start preparing stone just as soon i as the labor is available. This block of city property which is to be the starting point will enable the crew to work while the legal department is securing the necessary agreements from the neighboring propertv owners.

County Plans Suit A claim for $097 was again presented by the county representing the cost of constructing the "car-ferry" road. A communication was received from District Attorney L. W. Bruemmer stating that Public Offices Closing At Oconto On Saturday Special to Press-Gazette OCONTO, Wis. With Saturday designated as Landing day and as a holiday, the public offices in the Oconto county courthouse will be closed for the entire day, it was announced by Josie M.

Kingston Head of New Methodist Group Special to Press-Gazette GILLETT, Wis. The Woman's Society of Christian Service of the Methodist Episcopal church was organized Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. I. L. Cook.

This new organization will replace the Ladies Aid and will be a branch of the Woman's Service group of all Methodist churches. The officers elected at this meeting were, Mrs. R. L. Kingston, president; Mrs.

Ben Rawson, vice president; Mrs. Harold Kolderup, secretary, and Mrs. George Sohr, treasurer. Members were divided into two circles and will hold their meetings the second Thursday of each month in the church dining parlors, beginning in November. William Balza Charged With Dance Disorders STURGEON BAY, Wis.

On complaint of Richard Cassidy, dance hall inspector, William Balza, Egg Harbor, was charged in county court this week with rowdyism and disorderly conduct and pleaded not guilty. His hearing will be held Friday morning, Oct. 11, at 10 o'clock. Dalor Olson, Baileys Harbor, was fined $1 with costs of $3.95 for driving above 35 miles per hour in an outlying section of the city. Leo Geier, Maplewood, paid a fine of $1 with costs of $2 for not dimming his headlights on meeting other cars.

Erick Zwicker, Milwaukee, was fined $1 with costs of $4 for driving above 25 miles per hour in the city.
