"I notified the city that I will make restitution for any liability," Risk said. "I haven't any idea where he was going. He's a 16-year-old kid who did something wrong.

Children's scores in school achievement tests decline in relation to the amount of television they watch each day, the California Department of Education said Thursday. It reported the more than 500,000 pils in which their state's sixth- and sessment tests against their television results of a survey of public school puscores in the twelfth grade aswere measured habits. The survey indicated that sixth graders who watched television an hour or less a day achieved scores about 7 percent higher than those who watch television four hours or more daily. Test scores declined rapidly for children who watched television more than three hours a day. Twelfth graders watching television six hours day or more got scores about 14 percent lower in all areas than those who confined their viewing to an hour or less.
