The Rev. H. Clifford Northcott, of the First Methodist church of Champaign, 111., will be the principal speaker during Religious Emphasis week at Iowa State college Jan. 8 to 14. Dr.

Northcott will speak first at an til-college convocation Jan. 11 will be heard in his final ad- dreff at a public mass meeting Sunday night, Jan. 14. Other talks be given at a dinner meeting Jan. 11, a faculty luncheon Jan.

12 and open meetings the nights of Jan. 12 and 13. It is probable that he Trill speak at an Ames high school assembly also. The speaker's program will be preceded by three days of meetings to be led in fraternities, sororities, dormitories and wards by men and women of the faculty. Northcott's church, the largest of the denomination in Illinois outside Chicago, has an extremely various and extensive program for its 2,200 members. Dr. Northcott himself is one of the outstanding younger leaders of his denomination. He is a graduate of Northwestern university and Garrett Biblical institute, took graduate work at Northwestern and received his master of arts degree from the University of Chicago.
