Metropolitan Life Adds Four Stories to Madison Square Tower. The tower of the Metropolitan Life Insurance rompary building, at Madison Square, will for a time at least hold all lolty records. Because of a rhar.pe the plans, four floors will be civtng the building fifty-four stories, including the two basements. The roof of the tower will eighty-eight feet higher than Singer Building, and wiil be 700 feet above the sidewalk. The work on the tower is being watched by a Bomber cf architects, who are preparing plans for which may eventually reach 1,000 feet.
