Tbe site is magnificent, both for its natural beauty and bealthfulness. ft cannot be surpassed. So absolutely healthy is it that among all the scores of little ones that have found shelter within it walls, there has never been a serious case of sickness.

No State institution has ever been located here or any nearer to us than Oshkosh and it would be a graceful act to locate the State Public School at Green Bay, as well as a great saving to the State. Green Bay is as accessible as any other point, by its numerous lines of railway and its unsurpassed water communication. Id fact, worthiness of the child and a sound body are essentials to Its admission. The law provides that the State may accept donations of land and other property for the school and no site has yet been determined for it. It has been suggested that no better site could be found in the Bute than that occupied by tbe Northwestern Orphan's Home In this city. Tbe addition of about 30 acres to it would give the amount of grounl that tbe law contemplates and we understand that there Is no objection to turning over tbe beautiful grounds and building to the State for this purpose as well as furnishing the additional 30 acres, which can be procured for $100 per acre. The measure is a very important one and it looks as if the institution thus created might become one of the very best charities of the State.

It embodies as a principle of the State that principle long since adopted by some private institutions with tbe best results of finding homes for the otherwise homeless.
