She was a former resident of Wichita, Kansas City, Los Alamos, and Honduras, South America. She was a secretary for the United Fruit Co.

She attended New Life Christian Center, Beloit, and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and White Shrine of Jerusalem. Survivors include nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Mount Hope Cemetery, Mankato, Pastor Terry Skov officiatuig. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m.

Saturday at McDonald Funeral Home, 910 N. Campbell, Beloit 67420, before proceeding to the cemetery. Laura M. Ericson CLYDE Laura M. Ericson, 82, Clyde, died Tuesday, Oct.

17, 1995, at Clay County Hospital, Clay Center. Mrs. Ericson was born Laura M. Ouellette on Dec. 15,1912, at St.

Joseph and was a resident of Clyde since 1941, moving from Concordia. She worked for the Woods Store and Black-Woods Department Store, Clyde, for more than 50 years. She was a member of the board of directors for Park Villa Care Home and served on the board of Senior Citizens, both of Clyde. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, both of Clyde.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilber A. Ericson, in 1977 and a great-granddaughter. Survivors include two daughters, Marie Marcotte of Hutchinson and Jo Ann Simpson of Smith Center; three sons, Gene Arpin of Clay Center, and Robert Arpin and Jerry Arpin, both of Hutchinson; two sisters, Helen Kegle and Marceline Kegle, both of Clyde; a brother, Armond Ouellette of Clyde; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St.

John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde, the Rev. Frank Coady officiatuig. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Clyde. A vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the-church.

Bernard Albert Fehr Bernard Albert Fehr, 72, 550 S. llth, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 1995, at his sister's home in rural Smolan. Mr. Fehr was born March 2, 1923, at Lindsborg and was a resident of Salina since 1966.

He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a farmer-stockman in the Wakefield area and had been a manager for Beverly Farms and Tri County Feedlot Inc. He also had worked for the Saline County Road and Bridge Department until 1980. He was a member of Lindsborg American Legion Post 140. Survivors include his wife, Alice of the home; three sons, Leslie of Gothenberg, Gaylen of Marysville and Ron of Manhattan; a daughter, Cindy Roberts of Herington; a brother, Lloyd of Ellsworth; a sister, Lucille Bengtson of Smolan; and nine grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, 122 N. Eighth, the Rev. Paul Mugler officiating. Burial will be in Smolan Mission Hill Cemetery, near Smolan.

Hanel, 87, Belleville, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 1995, at Republic County Long Term Care, Belleville. Mrs. Hanel was born Katie I. Morgan on Dec.

22, 1907, at Athol and was a longtime resident of the Munden and Belleville areas. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Clarence William, died in 1982. Survivors include two sons, LaVerne of Belleville and Eugene of Munden; a sister, Tillie Peters of Belleville; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m.

Hartman GRAINFIELD Lawrence J. Hartman, 83, Grainfield, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 1995, at his home. Mr. Hartman was born Oct.

8, 1912, south of Park in Gove County and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a farmer-stockman, retiring in 1975. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and 3rd degree Knights of Columbus Council 5050, both of Grainfield, and 4th degree Knights of Columbus Council 2538, Park. He was preceded in death by two sons, Douglas in 1983 and Ralph in 1986.

Survivors include his wife, Johanna of the home; six sons, Elmer of Lakewood, Delmar and Francis, both of Wichita, James of Park, Albert of Aurora, and Robert of Grainfield; a daughter, Lorraine Hartman of Burbank, a sister, Christina Ziegler of Grainfield; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Grainfield, the Rev. John Walsh and Monsignor Clem Kruse officiating.

Burial will be in Grainfield Cemetery. A vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday followed by a Knights of Columbus Council 5050 rosary at the church educational building. Memorials may be made to the church. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Hilbert, 79, Beloit, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 1995, at Mitchell County Community Hospital, Beloit. Mrs. Hilbert was born Marcellene V. Emmot on July 6, 1916, at Lincoln and was a lifelong resident of the Beloit and Hunter areas.

She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church, Beloit. She was preceded in death by her husbands, David Louder and William Hilbert; and a son, Johnny Louder. Survivors include two sons, David Louder Jr. of Jamestown and Albert Louder; three daughters, Martha Rose Channel of Jamestown, and Nancy Slate and Evelyn Hartman, both of Beloit; a brother, Walter Emmot of Independence; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m.

Campbell, Beloit 67420. Richard "Dick" Kastle PHILLIPSBURG Richard "Dick" Kastle, 73, Phillipsburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 1995, at Smith County Hospital, Smith Center, as the result of a farm accident. Mr. Kastle was born Oct.

15, 1922, at Kirwin and was a longtime resident of the Phillipsburg area. He was shop foreman for Farmland Industries and a member of Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg. Survivors include his wife, Marcella of the home; two sons, Jeff of Phillipsburg and Phil of Chandler, two brothers, Robert of Phillipsburg and Jack of Woodston; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m.

Saturday at Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church, Phillipsburg, the Rev. Kerry Ninemire officiating. Burial will be in Bogart Cemetery, Phillips County, with military rites by Myers-Hesler Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1360, Phillipsburg. A rosary will be said at 8 p.m.

Sylvia Marie Krebbs McPHERSON Sylvia Marie Krebbs, 93, McPherson, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 1995, at Memorial Hospital, McPherson. Mrs.

Krebbs was born Sylvia Marie Rutledge on Oct. 16,1902, at Shell City, and was a resident of McPherson since 1980, moving from Conway. She was a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Conway Co-Workers Extension Homemakers Unit. Her husband, Marvin, died in 1972.

Survivors include nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ball Son Funeral Home, McPherson. Burial will be in Bean Cemetery, Little River. Memorials may be made to McPherson Senior Center or First United Methodist Church.

Lundquist, 79, Clifton, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 1995, at Estelle's Nursing Home, Clifton. Mr. Lundquist was born Dec. 19, 1915, at Clifton and was a lifelong member of Brantford Township.

He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a farmer and a member of Brantford Evangelical Covenant Church, Clyde Veterans of Foreign Wars, Clifton American Legion, Clay County Disabled American Veterans and a charter member of Men's Brotherhood. A grandchild preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Edith of Clifton; three sons, Harvey of Turlock, Franklin of Bennet, and Michael of Clyde; three brothers, Verlin of Clifton, Quentin of Harcourt, Iowa, and Gerald of Overland Park; three sisters, Laurann McGhee of Detroit, Lois Blad of Belleville and Virgie Balderstone of Mission; and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m.

Verlin I. Mermis GORHAM Verlin I. Mermis, 54, Gorham, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 1995, at his home. Mr.

Mermis was born Oct. 27, 1940, at Walker and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was assistant manager of United Ag Service Gorham, retiring in 1992. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, both of Gorham.

Survivors include his wife, Darita of the home; a son, Keith of Glendale, three daughters, Connie Mermis of Munjor, Kim Peach of LaCrosse and Emilee' Mermis of Hays; his Clara Mermis of Russell; three brothers, Alfred Jr. of Artesia, N.M., and Frank and Norman, both of Hays; a sister, Vera Galliart of Russell; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Gorham, the Rev.

Dan Scheetz officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Gorham. A vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary at 8 p.m.

Mrs. Mick-Copple was born Leola F. Belden on June 8, 1928, at Scottsville and was a longtime resident of the Minneapolis and Bennington areas. She was a former resident of Jamestown, Norway, Concordia and Salina. She was a sales clerk at Montgomery Ward's at Concordia and Salina, Presley Appliance, Salina, and Gun Shop, Minneapolis.

She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Salina. Her first husband, James A. Mick, died in 1984. Survivors include her husband, Arthur Copple of the home; three sons, Mike Mick of Salina, Steve Mick of Minneapolis and Norman Mick of Lawrence; two sisters, Esther Myers of Concordia and Sylvia Button of Lee's Summit, seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous stepgrandchildren and step- great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.

17,1995, at Salem Home, Hillsboro. Mrs. Pankratz was born Anna V. Scheikosky on Jan. 12, 1905, in Marion County.

She was a homemaker and a member of Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church. Her husband, Albert died in 1990. Survivors include two sons, Harold and Paul, both of Hillsboro; three daughters, Aldine Funk of Newton, Marjory Just of Hillsboro and Marilyn Nealy of Fredrickburg, 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Luke Living Center, Marion. Mr. Miltz was born Dec. 25, 1930, at Lincolnville and was a longtime resident of the area. He delivered the Wichita Eagle in the Lincolnville area and was a member of St.

John's Lutheran Church, Lincolnville. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Joyce of Andover; two brothers, Eugene of Floresville, Texas, and Franklin of Detroit, and a sister, Henrietta Falls of Ottawa. Sexton ABILENE Nina M. Sexton, 96, rural Abilene, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 1995, at Enterprise Estates Nursing Home. Mrs. Sexton was born Nina M.

Meeker on May 14, 1899, in Brown County and lived most of her life as a farm wife in the Acme community, southwest of Abilene. She was a resident of Enterprise Estates since 1992. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 1987 and three great-grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Frances Bourbina and Alberta Davis, both of Abilene; two sons, Curtis of Gladstone, and John of Abilene; a brother, Roy Meeker of Abilene; two sisters, Zelma Meeker of Newton and Lenna Crisp of Florida; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

16, 1995, at Salina Regional Health Center, Penn Campus. Mr. Sullivan was born Nov. 29, 1929, at Salina and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a farmer and a member of Salina American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include three aunts, Helen Mynatt and Kate Sullivan, both of Salina, and Florence Weians of Kansas City, Kan. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 118 N. Ninth, the Rev.

Luella Mae Wallgren PHILLIPSBURG Luella Mae Wallgren, 83, Phillipsburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 1995, at Hays Medical Center. Mrs. Wallgren was born Luella Mae Shaw on Feb. 3, 1912, in Rooks County and was a longtime resident of Phillips County.

She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley "Cap," in 1985; a son, Larry, in 1990; and a daughter, Betty Sells, in March 1995. Survivors iflwde two sons, Robert of Hays and Richard of Logan; a sister, Mina Myers of Phillipsburg; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
