OptiatM th wall REOEER Daniel Scott, a federal prosecuting attorney, said Moore was to stand trial Friday on federal charges of of transporting stolen antique model trains across state lines. Moore had admitted earlier this year in St. Louis County District Court to state charges that he received and concealed the stolen trains worth about $30,000. The trains were stolen in November 1975 from Jack Littfin Winsted, and in September 1976 from Andy Anderson, Superior, Wis. Moore disappeared Feb.

22, the day he was to appear in federal court on charges stemming from the theft. In October, he was arrested in Colorado and returned to Minnesota for prosecution. Scott said Moore had not yet been questioned about the missing stocks, and the government was not told that he was going to admit to the stock violations until Thursday the day before the trial. Scott said federal authorities became aware of the missing stocks some time late last year when a Duluth bank, appointed as Miss Hector's conservator, notified them that the stocks were missing. By Carl Griff in Jr.

Staff Writer A former Duluth stockbroker, who was to go on trial for transporting stolen goods across state lines and Jumping bail, pleaded guilty to those charges and admitted to fraudulently obtaining and transporting stock owned by a Duluth woman who has been missing since May 1976. Russell Conwell Moore, 50, told U.S. District Court Judge Miles Lord Friday that he took about $74,000 worth of stock owned by Florence Hector and took it to Zur-ich, Switzerland. Moore told Lord that he forged Miss Hector's name to convert the stock for his own use. However, he said he had nothing to do with the woman's disappearance, and does not know anything about it.

Moore was Miss Hector's stockbroker and close friend for several years. Miss Hector, a former Duluth schoolteacher, disappeared May 10, 1976. Her car was found in a Minneapolis parking lot May 27 but no further trace of her has been found. She had left Duluth to help a friend move into the Eben-ezer Society home in Minneapolis. a a a a a a 0 fi; CP or? man h'x kin9 at a LOW FAMILY PRICE!
