Broad St. Americo 'Ricky' Pellicciotti Americo "Ricky" Pellicciotti, a retired supervisor for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board and a Democratic committeeman for more than 40 years, died yesterday. He was 71 and lived in Southwest Philadelphia. When he retired in the late 1970s, Pellicciotti was a regional director of field auditors for the LCB, working in the Broad and Spring Garden streets office. Before going to work for the LCB, he had been a tailor and for many years operated a tailor shop and drycleaning business in his home at Broad and Tasker streets.

He had lived in South Philadelphia for more than 60 years. His first love was politics. His daughter, Florence Newman, described him as "the old-time" kind of politician. "Somebody asked him to do something, and he went out and did everything he could to do it," she said. She said he made himself available at any hour of the day or night and was always able to bring out a large vote in his ward.

He was well regarded, said his daughter, and would take candidates before Democratic City Committee leader of a family marooned in space. 1989 Death Notices Death Notices Death Notices ALCARO May 6, 1989, CARMELLA V.
