New officers were advanced to their respective chairs at the meeting of the Oconto Falls chapter of the Order of Eastern Star held Mon day evening. Mrs. Sterling Bau man, worthy matron- elect, was presiding officer, with Earl Boldt as patron, and Mrs. Earl Boldt and Norman Kurtz as associate officers.

Conductresses were Mrs. Aruo Luth and Mrs. George Anderson. Ila Foster and Mrs. F.

J. Kilmer were re-elected secretary and treasurer, respectively. Mrs. Bauman appointed the following officers to serve with her: Eunice Behling, organist; Adleine Redman, chaplin; Marie Bundy, marshal; Carlin Birr, Pearl Lar-sen, Eleanor Behling, Shirley Gamier and Sylvia Greene, star points; Minnie Flowers, warder, and Ellsworth Behling, sentinel. The program which followed in cluded reading by Minnie Flow ers, Mrs. Ralph Elver and Mrs. E. J. Shellman.

Musical numbers were presented by Anita Tomlin Patsy and Karen Drews, and Sally Boldt, with Mrs. Emil Behling serving as accompanist. Earl Boldt denned the Chnstmas spirit, and Sally gave a recitation. Coffee and Christmas cookies were served by Mrs. Sterling Bau man and Mrs.

Tracy Greene. Surplus cookies, which were brought by members, together with the silver offering will be sent to the veterans' hospital at Toman. Falls Girl Scouts Hold Yule Parties Special to Press-Gazette OCONTO FALLS, Wis. Patrol 3 of the Girl Scouts enjoyed a Christmas party in the lunch room at the high school on Mon day evening. A pot luck supper was served and the girls sang Christmas carols around the tree. They packed a basket of Christ mas cheer for a needy family and exchanged gifts. The adult leaders of this patrol are Mrs.

Marion Becker, Mrs. Byron Peterson, Mrs. F. C. Titel, and Mrs.

Edw. Gerlikowskl. The junior leaders are Gloria Kralopp and Carol Bramschreiber. The Tenderfoot patrol of the Girl Scouts had their holiday party at the city hall at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon, with their mo thers as guests. The pledge was led by Karen Redman, and a pro' gram of the girls planning was presented.

"Silent Night" was sung by Karen Kedman, wary Funk, Joann Wranovsky and Sharon Seeman, with Eileen Stor-zer at the piano. Also on the program were a poem, "I Love Him," Jerene Schlosser; piano solo, "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," Karen Redman; "Santy's Surprise," by Charlotte Bitters, and 'Peace on Earth," by Marvel Graham. The play "The Nicest Disap pointment" was given by Joyce Lartz, Lorraine Kobes, Bonnie Magill and Eileen Storzcr. The body is at the Eberhardt Funeral home In Clintonville and will be removed to the church at 11 o'clock Thursday morning. 200 Pound Buck Killed By Car Near Sobieski OCONTO. Wis. A 200-pound buck with a 24-inch horn spread was run into and killed by Calvin Rosenberg, 25, of Sobieski, as he was anving on county Trunk a mile out of Sobieski. He reported the mishap to Sheriff Edward Coopman.

Rosenberg's car was damaged to the extent of about $200, but he was not hurt by the impact. Use summer apples with celery and walnut meats for a salad to serve with meat or fish.
