Prizes were Awarded to 'Alice Jo Stouaer, Eddie Stouder, Jackie Cunningham, Madonna Burget Judith Gossard and Eddie Halford. Dale Rigger won the door prize and Dalbert Gibles won the cake for the cake walk.

The group sang "Where He Leads Me, I Will Follow," and Mrs. Golda Hobbs offered prayer. Mrs. Hobbs was program leader. Mrs.

Roxie Clark spoke about "Making Ready for World Community Life," and Mrs. Breakenridge gave a' paper on "Individual Christian's Part." Roxie Clark, presided in the absence of the president, Mrs. Martha Qrr, who yas sick and unabble. to attend. Reports were read and approved. The meeting was closed with the missionary benediction.

Hostesses served angel food cake, fruit salad, tea, coffee and candy favors to ten members and one guest, Mrs. Harris. The Christmas meeting will be Dec. 4, at the home of Boyer in Kempton. Each members is to bring a 25-cent gift.

MISS STROUP ENTERTAINS Miss Martha Stroup entertained with a Halloween party at her home Wednesday after school for members of her school class and friends. The rooms were decorated with suggestions pf Hallowe'en and the guests were dressed for the occasion. Games in keeping with the season were played. Prizes were won by Adel Butler for the most original, dressed as a Jap, and Betty Lee Burget and Janice Gossard for the prettiest costumes. Candy bars were given other guests.

PERSONALS Sue Carter, 3-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earlen Carter of Kempton, is confined to her bed with scarlet fever. HOBBS Mrs. Mark Weismiller SOCIETY ENTERTAINED The Ladies Aid of the Hobbs Christian church met all day Thursday at the home of Mrs.

Ethel Hobbs in Hobbs with Mrs. Effie Resslar as co-hostess. A pHch-in dinner was served at noon to 22 women, four children and three men. The meeting was called to order by the Mrs. Esther Reismiller, and devotions were by Mrs.

Ola Dellinger. prayer by Mrs. Esther Reismiller and roll call by Mrs, Gienna Powell. A new mem- berber is MrsJ Leona Fernung. The secretary's report was read by Mrs.

Glenha Powell. Members planned a Thanksgiving market. Officers were elected as follows: President, Mrs. Norma Fuller; vice-president, Mrs. Crystal Burkett; secretary and reporter, Mrs.

Mary Weismiller, and treasurer, iMrs. Esther Reismiller. The business meeting closed by all; repeating the Lord's prayer in unison. The program xvas in charge of Mrs. Effie Ressler and contest prizes went to Mrs.

Glenna. Powell, Mrs. Mabel Burkett and Mrs. Crystal Burkett. The door prize was won by Mrs.

Norma Fuller. Members of the club presented Mr. and Mrs. Omer Burkett with a sugar and creamer set in honor of their golden wedding anniversary. Those present for the dinner were Mrs.

club creed were given in unison. Members voted to give $15 to the Federation of Clubs toward their pledge on the hospital fund and one dollar to the Federation for dues. Two delegates from the Home- craft club, Mrs. Glenna Powell and Mrs. Garnet Terwilliger, will attend the outlook meeting Friday in Tipton.

The club planned a food market and the- committee appointed follows: Mrs. Glenna Powell, Mrs. Garnet Terwilliger and Mrs. Alice Julius. The Christmas party will a Christmas dinrer at Mangos cafeteria, Elwood.

The program will be in -charge of the local officers -and, a gift exchange of 50c is planned. The committee appointed for the Christmas decorations was Mrs. Garnet Terwilliger and Mrs. Mildred Noble. The club prayer was given in unison.

The committees reported new officers as follows: President, Mrs. Harriet Hinds vice-president, Mrs. Margaret Teal; sec retary and reporter, Mrs. Mary Weismiller. Project leaders will be Mrs.

Katherine Joerger, Mrs. Garnet Melson, Mrs. Cora Hinds and Mrs. Garnet Tferwilliger. Installation of officers will be at the Christmas party.

During the program, contest prizes went to Mrs. Garnet Mrs. Garnet Melson and Mrs. Alice Julius. The door prize was won by Mrs.

Dorothy Miller Thursday afternoon. Other officers are Mrs. Lloyd Carmicheal, vie-president; Mrs. Yvonne Thomas, secretary- treasurer; Mrs. Oscar Hoover, missionary leader; Mrs.

Anita Achenbach, reporter, and Mrs. Carmel Hoover, flower fund chairman. The meeting was opened by the president, Mrs. Oscar Hoover, and devotions were given by Mrs. Eva Haskett in keeping with the 100th anniversary of the American missionary association.

Mrs. Orp'ha Achenbach, leader of the missionary.society, told of the founding of the society and the. progress ft has made. Mrs. Miller told of her trip to Detroit, Mich, as a delegate to the Missionary convention.

The meeting was closed with the pledge to the American flag and the society prayer. Guests were- Mrs. Crystal Gossard and Mrs. Mary Harlow. An anniversary cake was cut and serv ed to those present.

VISITS IN TIPTON Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Lewis and son, Dickey, of Dearborn, have been visiting with Dr. and Mrs.

George Warne, West street, and Mrs. Orintha Smith, North Main street. They left today to visit relatives in Indianapolis. Mrs. Lewis was the former Miss Ava Lee Warne, daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Dallas Warne, former- residents of Tipton, no wresid- ing in Washington, D. C. Lois Jarvis to Wed Fredrick Prewitt Mrs. Malcolm Porter, South Main street, announces the engagement of her daughter, Lois Jarvis, to Fredrick Prewitt, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Ralph J. Frew- itt, Columbus. Mr. Prewitt is a veteran of the U.

S. navy. The date for the. wedding has not been set. FOSTER CLASS TO MEET The Foster class of the First Presbyterian church will meet Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs.
