Burial was held in Bluff City Cemetery. Earnestine Hill Earnestine Hill, 49, of 445 Fremont Elgin, died Friday, July 7, 1978 at St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. She was born Sept. 11, 1928, in Wauley, the daughter of Sterling and Callie Burnet Davis.

She was a machine operator at Olympic Controls and a member of Bearts Church of God in Christ of St. Louis, Mo. She is survived by her widower, James; three sons, James. Ollie and Theodius, six daughters, Delores Bobo, Christine, Linda, Joann, Debora and Deborah Ann; two brothers, Sterling and Samuel Davis; four sisters, Martha Lee Hill, Maltie Lee Weaver, Malenda Cole, and Izola Strong; one aunt, Eliza Sorsey of Elgin; and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Spates Temple Church of God and Christ, with the Rev. Leonard Spates officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery. The Wait, Ross, Allan-son Funeral Chapel, Elgin, made the arrangements.

Bernice Jones Mrs. Bernice Jones, 77, of 1509 Maple Lane, Elgin, died Tuesday, July 4, 1978, in Four Seasons Nursing Home, Elgin. She was bora Dec. 14, 1900, in Au Train, and was the daughter of Victor Ginther Victor Ginther, 78, of 672 Wellington Elgin, died Friday, July 7, 1978 at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. He was born May 1, 1900, in Poland, and came to the United States and Elgin in 1914.

He was a welder employed at Geneva Kitchens, and retired in He is survived by his widow, Dorothy (Johnson) Ginther, whom he married in 1928; two sons, Wayland of Bloomington, IL and Robert of Los Almeda, one daughter, Mrs. Delores Warren of Elgin; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. Frank; two sisters; and two brothers. Funeral services were held at the Wait, Ross.

Allanson Funeral Chapel. Dr. Charles Wholesale Drug Co. of Seattle, retiring in 1967. Surviving are one son, Clark Jones of Elgin; one sister, Mrs.

Jack (Alice) Paronteau of Tacoma, Wash, and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernie R. Jones in 1967; three sisters, and one brother. Cremation was held in Elm Lawn Crematory, Elmhurst. Stout Funeral Home, Elgin, was in charge of arrangements.

Bernard Ratazak officiated. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Elgin. Ruby Blay Ruby Irene Blay, 70, of 204 Albert Drive, Dundee, died Thursday, July 6, in Four Seasons Nursing Center. She was born Dec. 12, 1907, in Elgin, the daughter of John and Serena Miller Bierman.

She had been a homemaker and had been a member of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Surviving are her widower, Blaney B. Blay; one son, Eugene of West Dundee; one daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Delores) Holcomb of Maple Park; two brothers, Harold Bierman of Mountain Home, and Alvin of Elgin, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wilbur and Floyd.

Funeral services were held in Wait, Ross, ATI a nson Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Ted Adkinson, pastor of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, officiated. Burial was held in Lake Street Memorial Park Cemetery. daughter of John and Katherine Siebert, and had resided in Elgin for 28 years.

She had lived in Bartlett before moving to Elgin in 1950. Surviving are her widower Frank two sons, Frank Nesler of Bartlett; Donald of Elgin; four grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Walter, Rudolph and Henry Siebert; one sister, Anna Roewer, and a grandson. Funeral services were held in the Stout Funeral Home, Elgin. The Rev.

Dr. Willis A. Reed, pastor of First Baptist Church of Elgin, officiated. Burial was held in Lake Street Memorial Park Cemetery. Donald Turner Donald L.

Turner, 66, of 216A Waverly Court, Apt. 1A, Carpentersville, died Wednesday, July 5, 1978, at Fox Valley Nursing Center. He was born Jan. 31, 1912 in Solon Mills, the son of Louis and Jenny Linden Turner. He was an auto mechanic and had been a resident of Elgin since 1953.

He was a member of Elgin Bible Church officiated. Burial was held in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Aurora. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Fred (Martha) Aim of Hanna, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carroll, six sisters and six brothers.

Funeral services were held in the Stout Funeral Home, Elgin. The Rev. LeRoy R. Koepke officiated. Services were held at the Stout Funeral Home.

There was also visitation at Olson Funeral Home, Fairmont, MN. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont, MN on Friday. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. James Adams James E. Adams, 54, of 1108 Cedar Elgin, died Sunday, July 2, 1978, in St.

Joseph Hospital, Elgin. He was born Nov. 24, 1923, in Elgin, the son of Francis J. and Irma Spittle Adams. He had been a lifelong resident of Elgin ar.d for many years operated Adams Auto Parts with his father.

Mr. Adams was a member of St. Joseph Church and the Loyal Order of Moose, Elgin Lodge 799. Surviving are his mother, Irma Adams of Elgin, three aunts, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his' father, Francis in 1973.

Funeral services were held in the O'Connor Funeral Home, Elgin, to St. Joseph Church for Mass at 10 a.m. The Rev. Msgr. Henry M.

Willis Reed officiated. Schmidt Funeral Home, Elgin, was in charge a r-rangements. Joseph Kastner Joseph Kastner, 86, of 720 Augusta, Elgin, died Thursday, July 6, 1978, in Fair Oaks Nursing Home. He was born Sept. 14, 1891, the son of John and These Thums Kastner.

He came to the United States in 1908 to Chicago, and moved to Elgin in 1910, where he was. a baker in Hopps Bakery. Mr. Kastner was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Elgin.

Surviving are two sons, Kenneth C. and Ralph both of Elgin; one brother, Andreas, and a sister, Sofio Baumgart, both in Germany; fivegrand-children, and two greatgrandchildren. He was preceded ifP death by his parents; his wife, Selma Strauss in 1970; three brothers, Franz, John and Fredrich, and a sister, Marie. Funeral services were held in Wait, Ross, Allanson Funeral Chapel. The Rev.

Robert Jaeger, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church officiated. Burial was held in Bluff City Cemetery. Freda Nesler Freda S. Nesler, 79, of 1577 E.

Chicago Elgin, died Thursday, July 6, 1978, in Four Seasons Nursing Center, Elgin. She was born Sept. 18, 1898, in Piano, the William Lee William C. Lee, of 1 Tivoli Place, Elgin, died Thursday, July 6, 1978, in St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.

He was born in Joliet, IL, the son of Clarence and Ethel Lacey Lee. Mr. Lee was a former Illinois State Police officer, and a local businessman. He is an associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 41, a member of the Ancient Free Accepted Masons of Illinois, Bloomington Lodge 43. Surviving are one son, William M.

Lee of Valley View; one daughter, Mrs. William G. (Pamela) England of New York City; one sister, Mrs. Loren V. (Francis) Lee Petry of Phoenix, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held in Wait, Ross, Allanson Funeral Chapel, Elgin. The Rev. Dr. Willis A.

Fifth West Dundee, died Sunday, July 2" 1978. He was born April 7, 1963, the son of Alvin and Virginia Nelson. He was a student at Dundee High School, where he played on the football and basketball teams. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church of Elgin. Surviving are his parents; two sisters, Mrs.

Fred (Karen) Lusk of South Bend, and Mrs. Gerald (Cheryll) Baresel of Algonquin, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Herman Hilgeman of Wausau, Wis. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.

Ernest Nelson, and his maternal grand-fathef, Herman Hilgeman. Funeral services were held in Messiah Lutheran Church of Elgin. The Rev. Robert G. Dirks, pastor "of the church, officiated.

She was an employee of Elgin National Watch Company for 35 years before retiring in 1959.
