2 Wednesday. Aug. 1 1. 1982 Philadelphia Daily News se MR'WiSts Liffeloog PWls5 Fam $1l52 By TOM MAHON -Viiy News Sports Writer Many people who retire from their jobs suddenly find that they have to work at finding things to do. That's not the case with 67-year-old Albert Pastore of BroomalL When he left as an employee of the City of Philadelphia after 28 years, it only meant he had even more time to devote to the two things he loves most.

ATLANTIC CITY TRACKMAN'S HANDICAP nrst pest 7:30 a-. $3 Dotty da able 1,1. $3 UoeM IWAJA $3 Tritactm 4,9. CnM News Home Run Payoff Contest, making Pastore $1,250 richer. "I'll probably give some of it to my children," he said.

"I have two married twin daughters, Marie and Arleen. And I have a son (Albert I and a younger daughter "And," he added proudly, "I have 11 grandchildren." There were six other winners in yesterday's payoff innings. In the first payoff, which occurred in the eighth inning of the suspended game carried over from Monday, Tony Durbiano, of Paoli, won $10 and four reserved-seat tickets to a future Phils game when Gary Matthews singled. Chuck Thompson and Mr. Mrs.

Steve Koslosky, both of Philadelphia, also won four tickets each. In the regularly scheduled game, George H. Gilbert, of Enola, won $10 and four tickets on a single by Marty Bys-trom. Peter Vimmerstedt, of Drexel Hill, and N.A. White and H.

Joyce Stevens, both of Philadelphia, also won tickets. To date the Daily News has paid out $15,960. A home run in today's payoff inning would be worth $1,000. Today's coupon appears on Page 65. The first is his family.

The second is the Phillies. Pastore has been a Phillies' fan almost all his life. He grew up in West Philadelphia and often made a trek up North Broad Street to see the Phils play in the old Baker Bowl. The most he ever got out of it was the enjoyment of seeing the home club win. And that, to him, was always enough.

Last night, however, he got an extra bonus as Pete Rose hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning of the Phils-Pirates game. Under normal circumstances a homer by Rose would be news in itself since he's only hit two all season. But the fourth happened to be the designated inning in the Daily mi. 111 duiiwvMnv 3-1 1st $4,700, dm. (UMOl r-OV.

"After the two years (with Baltimore I'm a Tree agent," MacWilliams said. "Philadelphia has no rights to me anymore. It all depends on how I do with Baltimore, how I adapt to the city, and how things work out." That leaves Jean-Pierre Tokoto, who captained Cameroon's World Cup team, as the only player under contract to the Fever. "He stays with me," Raymond said. "I can loan him out, but he stays.

Right now, I have not worked on Tokoto going anyplace." With a year to regroup, Raymond will actively seek investors and, in January, he'll be able to sell stock from his company, which he merged in June. Under Security Exchange Commission regulations, no stock can be sold for six months following a merger. With the addition of the NASL San Diego Sockers, the expansion Los Angeles Lazers, and the suspension of operations by the Fever, the MISL, at the moment, will go with 12 teams this year. By MIKE KA1NE Daily News Sports Writer If you were one of the 4,000 regular patrons of Fever games last year, look for something else to occupy your time this winter. The Fever will not field a team in the Major Indoor Soccer League this year.

No wisecracks that they didn't field one last year either. Joe Raymond, the Fever chairman of the board, filed for a one-year moratorium at the beginning of the summer and it was granted at the league meetings last month. "We filed for it and we're just waiting for the official notice," said Raymond, who admitted he had been granted the moratorium. With a year's reprieve in hand, Raymond released forward Dave MacWilliams, who signed a two-year contract with the Baltimore Blast at a news conference in Baltimore today. "Davey wants to play and Baltimore wanted him," Raymond said.

"I think they want him permanently, but I think Dave has an option to return to Philadelphia after two years."
