Buntyn, 65, a retired Fisheries Technician for Mississippi Department of Wildlife, died Sunday, November 5, 2006, at Jacquith Nursing Home in Jackson. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Breeland Funeral Home in Canton. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mt.

Pisgah Baptist Church in Sandhill with burial in the Old Pisgah Cemetery. Mr. Buntyn was a 1959 graduate of Pisgah High School where he was Salutatorian of his class. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

Survivors include: wife, Zella "Bunny" Buntyn of Sandhill; son, John Charles "Charlie" Buntyn of Sandhill; daughter, Melanie McLeod of Fannin; sister, Patricia Schneidau of Sandhill; grandchildren, Gracie, Jesse and Maggie McLeod of Fannin. Conn, 83, died Sunday, November 5, 2006, at Rankin Medical Center in Brandon. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with burial in Thornhill Cemetery.

Mr. Conn was a native of Attala County and a longtime resident of Rankin County. He retired from Stone Container after 36 years of service. Mr. Conn was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a World War Navy veteran.

He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing and especially turkey hunting. Survivors include his wife, Bernice Conn of Brandon; daughters, Patsy Porter and her husband Jerry of Morton, Linda Harveston and her husband Jackie of Brookhaven, and Bettye Freeny of Carthage; brother, Johnny T. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church for about 40 years. Her main hobbies were gardening and homemaking. She loved her flowers, especially her African violets. Croxton. Helen McCharen Gordon Jackson Helen Louise McCharen Gordon, 82, died Saturday, November 4, 2006, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today and after 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lakewood 1 Funeral Home in Jackson.

Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park. Mrs. Gordon was born December 14, 1923, at Toccopola, the eldest child of Charles D. and Genera P.

McCharen. In 1926, the family moved to Jackson, where she attended Jackson Public Schools, graduating from Central High School in the class of 1941. She attended Belhaven College and was employed in the drafting department at Southern Bell Telephone Company until her marriage to Ernest W. Gordon on October 31, 1943. A member of First Presbyterian Church, Mrs.

Gordon was a longtime member of Alta Woods Presbyterian Church, where she took care of the infants in the nursery for about 35 years. She was active in volunteer services for many years at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, the American Postal Workers Union Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary, and was a member of the Monday Morning Playhouse. Mr. Rogers, a native of Jackson, graduated in 1943 from Culkin Academy. Collins Northside Chapel Love States Army Air Corps attending flight school and served until the end of World War II. After the war, Mr. Rogers began his career in the automobile industry as a salesman at Sellers Cadillac Motor Company in Jackson and remained with the dealership for many years. Mr. Rogers continued working at Lefluer Cadillac, until accepting a position with Blackwell Imports where he specialized in the sale of MercedesBenz.

Mr. Rogers became one of the top Mercedes salesman in the United States, winning numerous awards from the Mercedes Corporation including an opportunity to tour the Mercedes Benz plant in Germany. Mr. Rogers traveled the United States delivering many Mercedes to his clients. He remained active when the dealership became Higginbotham Mercedes and continued his association until he became ill.

Mr. Rogers was an avid wild game hunter, he especially enjoyed duck hunting. He was an accomplished skier. As a member and former president of the Ski Club of Mississippi, he earned the Championship in the Slalom Skiing Division while he represented the State of Mississippi. He especially enjoyed being a member of the Confederate Air Force Mississippi Wing where he dedicated his time restoring vintage aircraft.

He was a pilot and owner of vintage World War aircraft. He will be remembered by those who knew him as a good and faithful friend. He is survived by a sister, Vivian Louise Rogers Dunnington of San Antonio, Texas; niece, Vivian Rose Mahaffey Froh of Abilene, Texas; niece, Rebecca Mahaffey Helms of Seguin, Texas; niece, Constance Marie Mahaffey Hurley of Pleasanton, Texas; many great-nieces and great-nephews. 'Chuck' Wade Jackson Lawrence Rudolph Chuck Wade, 79, died Saturday, November 04, 2006, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 7 in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson. Lakewood Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Chuck was born in Philadelphia to Lawrence and Jessie Mae Wade. He served in the US Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict.

An avid outdoorsman, he loved working in his garden. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was a Mason. He was also a member of Raymond Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Laura Bridges and her husband, Darin of Clinton; son, Ronald Tew of French Camp; sister, Sarah Wade Byrnes of Brookhaven; grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Kinard lived in Oxford from 1948 until 1982 when she and her late husband (Bruiser) moved to Jackson. She was a homemaker and former member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Oxford. Atthe time of her death she was a member of St.

Andrews Episcopal Cathedral. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. (Bruiser) Kinard, former football player and coach at Ole Miss. Survivors include her sons, Frank M. Kinard, Jr.

Mr. Weiss was born on July 23, 1932, in Jackson, the son of the late, Phillip Joseph Weiss, Sr. and Mabel Schroegler Weiss. In his younger years, he lived in Mobile, and Gulfport. Mr.

Weiss graduated from Gulfport High School where he played trumpet in the band. He continued his education at the University of Southern Mississippi where he earned his Bachelor Degree in accounting and business. While a student at USM, Mr. Weiss was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega social fraternity, played trumpet in the University Band and was instrumental in the development of a dance orchestra. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi serving as an instructor.

Mr. Weiss began his accounting career in Gulfport and earned his CPA certification. In 1972, Mr. Weiss moved his family to Jackson and continued his public accounting career with the formulation of the Williams, Weiss, Hester Company, where he served as a partner for many years and continued his affiliation throughout his semi retirement. Mr.

Weiss was a member of numerous professional organizations including, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Accountants for Cooperatives. He was also a member of the American Legion, Post 1. Mr. Weiss was an avid craftsman, enjoying building fine furniture, restoring antique furniture and cutting silhouettes. He attended First Baptist Church of Madison.

He will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, a devoted father and a cherished brother. Survivors include: wife, Carolyn Fairchild Weiss of Jackson; son, Donald Charles Weiss, Jr. of Flowood; son, Bryan Joseph Weiss of Mobile, sister, Phyllis Sandifer and her husband, Dudley of Monticello; brother, Phillip Joseph Weiss, Jr. and his wife, Jonie of Columbia, S.C.; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi or Hospice Ministries.

Va. police: 4 killed in fiery crash The Associated Press SEBRELL, Va. Three Boy Scouts and an adult leader returning home from a camping trip were killed Sunday when their vehicle ran off a rural highway, crashed into a tree and burst into flames, state police said. John Oliver, 43, and three members of Boy Scout Troop 17 in Franklin died at the scene, said state police Sgt. D.S.

Carr. The driver's son, Michael Oliver, was able to get out of the car and was taken to a hospital, police said. His age and condition were not available. Carr said the boys were about 12 or 13 years old. Their names weren't available.
