Astrologes, president since 1970, is relinquishing that post to become chairman and chief financial officer of World Pay Television, a Los Angeles joint venture Oak recently formed to operate a broadcast pay television business. Astrologes also has been named chairman of a newly created finance committee of the board of directors of Oak. E.A. Carter, chairman and chief executive officer of Oak, will assume the additional title of president. World Pay Television is a joint venture of Oak and Chartwell Communications, a private investor group headed by A.

Jerrold Perenchio of Los Angeles. Kenneth Cook, 100 Maple, Crystal Lake, has been recognized by Illinois Institute of Technology for his 15 years of service to IIT. Cook is a boiler operator at ITT's Crystal Lake Campus. He was honored for his service at a recent IIT employees luncheon. Energy Conservation Award has been presented to Northwest Builders of Crystal Lake for voluntarily displaying high standards of energy conservation construction. Charles Porter, of Northwest Builders, received the award from Al Beck, NI-Gas Building Representative. Edward J. Filiatrault, NI-Gas Vice President Divisions, said only those new residential builders who use energy conservation as a standard construction practice are eligible to receive the award. Northwest Builders and other winners are selected by using a set of guidelines established by NI-Gas which include the use of storm windows and doors, a minimum of 3-inches of wall insulation and 6-inches of ceiling insulation.

Porter added that Northwest Builders, a division of Lake Region, has been building Kingsberry Homes and custom' residences for over 16 years. Construction of their 100th Kingsberry Home in the McHenry County area was recently started in Heritage Estates, north of Crystal Lake on Walkup Ave. A grand opening celebration featuring this home is tentatively scheduled for early spring. The WESTEC conference will offer over 35 sessions covering subjects in metals and materials technology, manufacturing and management. A major 3Vi day seminar focusing on the solution of pollution and solid waste control problems of Western industry also will be held.

Dr. Richard W. Roberts, assistant administrator of nuclear energy, Energy Research and Development Administration (ERDA), Washington, D.C., will be the principal speaker at the noon keynote luncheon, Tuesday, March 9. His talk is titled "Nuclear Energy; Where We Stand Today." record since he joined the company. Gaudreau is a graduate of the Life Underwriters Training Course.
