today at Wright Ferguson Funeral Home on High Street with burial in Cedarlawn Cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. today at the funeral home. Dr. Ingels was a Jackson native.

He graduated from The University of Mississippi with a degree in business administration and received a juris doctorate from The University of Mississippi Law School, a master's of law in taxation from The University of Miami and a doctorate of philosophy in higher education degree from The University of Mississippi. He also received a master's degree in education and Christian education administration and was a candidate for the doctorate of ministry in Christian education. Dr. Ingels had taught courses in business law, accounting and real estate law at Belhaven College and Hinds Junior College. He had been working on real estate project at Woodlake Acadia Subdivision at the Ross Barnett Reservoir.

"He was a man who loved God," said his brother, Tom Ingels of Hattiesburg, adding that he was "always putting God first." Other survivors include: wife, Roxann; daughters, Quay Ingels, Missy Ingels, Erin Halford, Amy Halford and Haley Halford, all of Jackson; and parents, Martha and Ed Ingels of Jackson. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, University Christian School or to Mississippi Children's Home. Kenneth Brantley retired principal KOSCIUSKO Kenneth Brantley, 74, a retired principal, died of heart failure Thursday at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Services are 3 p.m. Saturday at Jordan Funeral Home with burial in Parkway Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today. Mr. Brantley was a Philadelphia native and had been a Kosciusko resident for 25 years. He was a retired principal for Leake, Scott, Attala and Madison school districts.

He was a U. S. Army World War veteran. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include: wife, Claudine; son, Lewis Brantley of Sallis; daughter, Rhonda Marshall of Columbus; brothers, Max Brantley of Carthage and Jerry Brantley of Grand Bay, sisters, Gene Quinn of Madison, Ouida Clark of Brandon, Sue Hagger of Lexington and Linda Sakriska of Pearl; and three grandchildren.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bay Springs. She was the widow of William "Billy" Cargile. Martha Carroll homemaker CASSOPOLIS, Mich. Martha Carroll, 57, a homemaker, died of heart failure Tuesday at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Mich.

He died in Rankin County, near Jackson, Mississippi, Sunday, July 26, in an automobile accident.

A graduate of the Mississippi School for Mathematics Science, a state residential school for gifted students, Matt was currently attending Mississippi Sate University, where he was a cheerleader and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. A President's List Scholar, his honors and accomplishments included National Merit Finalist, Chemical Engineering Scholarship Award, membership in the Academic Team, which won first place in the 1993, district academic team a freshman at the University of Texas, he competition, Who's Who Among was a member of its rugby team. Mr. Gunter was a Ferriday, native and lived most of his life in Jackson and Rankin County. He was an entertainer and a teacher. Mr. Gunter was a very influential musician in the Jackson area, said his wife, Joyce.

"To know Darrell was to love him," she said. "He had a child-like innocence and a kind and gentle spirit."
