Daily News 18 PFT to Send 110 to Hawaii By DON HASKIN Despite criticism that it is extravagant, the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers will send 110 delegates to a convention in Hawaii July 9. It will cost the PFTs members $60,000. PFT President Frank Sullivan, who hopes to lead the delegation to the American Federation of Teachers convention at the Sheraton Waikiki, said that his union was booking a group flight, paying the 110 delegates and alternates $15 daily for food, and paying half the cost of a double occupancy room.
