ACADEWY WINhtR FAR FROM THE BUODINC CRDWO I THE DEVIL, of course, isn't ALL bad having once sat on the righthand of God, "His Inevitable Hugeness," he's trying to get back to heaven by buying up a certain number of souls. The friendship rivalry that develops bet em Cook and Moore in each of the seven segments, supplied by the victim's snafued wishes, adds to the fun and games nature of the romp. Producer director Stanley Donen's imaginative use of the camera and animation required for one of the wishes is a delight and just right RAQIEL WELCH, as Lust, one of the Devil's seven deadly sin assistants (others include Envy, Antr, Sloth, is devastating in red bikini-costume and reveals an excellent sense of humor with her cameo portrayal. Although some may be offended by the Cook-Moore treatment of nuns, parodying an Order of the Leaping Bereli- ans. where postulates scrub the grass and shrubbery and signs warn "Big Seiter Is Watching You," the triumph of Good over Evil before the last reel should ease the sting of such seeming irreverence.

Overall. "Bedazzled" is witty and well done, pardon the pun, a helluva funny adult comedy.
