ONE MORE SCOUT TROOP ORGANIZED Another new troop was added to the ranks of tho Frederick Scoule Saturday night when Troop 1 1(5. tno second troop for the Maryland Stato ochool i'or tho Deaf, wag installed.

The installtion service took place at the regular weekly assembly of the school. Twelve scouts ot Troop 8, also or the school, assisted the Scjut Executive with the mota' The scouts were told their responsibility and were urged to live close to the Scout oath and law. The true meaning of tho Scout oath and law impressed upou them by the Executive and the twelve scouts. The scouts were then presented with their registration cards and badges. The officers were also presented with their certificates.

The charter of Troop 16 was presented to Geo. H. Faupel, chairman of tae troop committee. Troop joined troop 16, as they took upon them cae final oath that united them to greatest boys' organization in the William J. McCanless is the new scoutmaster.

He was formerly tb.e assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 5, and has had about one and a half years experience as a. scout leader. Ira Teeter, a. former Merit Badge Scout, aleo of Troop 8, is the new assistant Scoutmaster. The Troop committee Is composed of Geo.

H. Faupel, chairman and representative on the Council; Edward- P. Gale, and Jas. A. McVer- non, scoutmaster of Troop 8.

The charter members of the new troop are Howard Amberg, Lawrence Brode, Bernard Goldberg, Har old Hopkins, Melvin Kelly, Thomas Miller, Mitchell Pumphrey, Walton Stancllff, Norman Rothman, Brook's Russell, and three scouts who were transferred from Troop to help start this troop. Roscoe Haupt, Francis McRaul and Otto Sehley. All three are second Class Scouts. Rev. D.

E. Moylan, cleryman to the deaf In Baltimore, spoke to the scouts after the service. Court of Honor Dec. 7. The Court of Honor will meet on Tuesday, December 7, for the pro motion of scouts and awarding Merit Badges.

All scouts who are nearly ready for promotion are urged to finish up as soon as possible and send cards to headquarters, not later than. Monday morning, Decem- her 6. CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN. Edward Mobley, reporter. The meeting of Troop 11, was called to order by the scoutmaster and opened with the repeating of the scout law. Jake Engelbrecht was elected troop bugler. We discussed a.

Thanksgiving day hike, to some place this side of Braddock Heights We will leave the Church of the Brethren on Thursday at 7 a. m. Patrol meetings were held. After playing a. few games the meeting was 1 closed by renewing ttt scout oath.

Several of the scouts passed tests after the meeting. We expect to pass more tests on the hike. Troop 2, Walkersville Leads, Troop 2, of Walkersville, which took the lead in the promotion and test contest last week Is still leading by 15 points. Palmo Dowell, aide to Illustrious Potentate George M. Armor, stated that in all likelihool a reply will be made to the interests desiring the site within next few days or a week.
