They plan to go to Springfield in a few weeks to compete for district honors. The Webb City boys have been put through a hard week of practice in anticipation for night's game. They have not been successful in winning a majority of their games so far, but an Improvement has been noticeable with the playing of each game this season. The annual meeting of the ferdecker Golf club will be held some time next week, the exact date having not been definitely decided. It was scheduled for the first Tuesday in iXIarch which falls on March 4, but since the Izaak Walton league has issued a call for a mass meeting on that night, arrangements will be made to prevent a conflict.

Connor Wise, secretary of the club, said last night that he knew of no special business that was to come before the club. Annual elec-'! tion of officers be held and plans for the year will be discussed. Wise said that the cliib had been self-supporting and plans for keeping it so would be made. Immediately following the Webb City game tonight the Red and Oreen basket ball team will embark by automobile for Sprinjr- fleld where they will take part In the Drury tournament which opens tomorrow morning. They hope to arrive in Springfield shortly after midnight and will get In a rest before the tourney opens.

No drawings for the teams have been announced and local officials do not know when their first game will be played. The opening gun la at 8:30 o'clock. Joplin, Springfield, Carterville, Warsaw, West' Plains, Willow- Springs, Mountain Grove and Fort Scott are the teams entered. The first three are Southwest Missouri league teams. Joplin has broken even with Springfield in two games and defeated Carterville in one.

Must IJose Two. The double elimination system wiH be used in the tourney, that Is. a team must be defeated twice before it is out of the running. Captain Elliott, Potts, Crandall, Gish and Wright will make the trip and three or 'four others will be taken but they have not been definitely named. Splva, Tucker, McManamy, Ellsworth, Meadows and Blair are the likely candidates from which the extras will be picked.

The squad will be in charge of Coach Eddie Grigg and Athletic Director Humphrey may leave here tomorrow afternoon to join them. The tournament will run for two days. Keeble stepped over the hurdles in six flat, one- fifth of a second better than the record held by Bob Simpson, present Missouri coach. The old record of 6 1-5 seconds was held by Bob Simpson, Missouri coach. Chauncey Simpson, younger brother of Bob Simpson, finished a scant foot behind Keeble. The crack Kansas quartet of established a new meet record ii the one-mile relay, chopping 2-5 oi' a second from the old record of 3 minutes 28 4-5 seconds.

New Sliot Mark. In the 16-pound shot put Richerson of Missouri bested the old meet record by 3 Inches when he heaved the weight 45 fett inches. In the 50-yard low hurdles Keeble and Simpson again stepped away from their Kansas oppoixents. both of whom tripped and fell, however. Three Missouri men Pittln- ger and Simpson, were the outstanding stars of the meet, scoring 29 of thblr team's points.

Keeble scored 10 points in winning the two hurdle events and Fittlnger duplicated this by firsts in the half-mile and one- mile runs. Simpson took second places in events and in the 50-yard dash. 50-yard dash: Won by Graham of Kansas; Simpson, Missouri, second. Time 5 2-5 seconds. Mile run: Won by PIttinger of Missouri; Pratt of Kansas, second.
